  1. I've made only one order after the new shipping prices. After adding one copy to basket and seeing the 26.30$ pop out as the cheapest shipping option I just want to cry. Can't afford one until payday and now trying to tell myself getting special color variation is definitely not worth it anyway as I just want these songs in this format. Surely the black would hit some record stores, right? This cannot be made so limited..? And stupid question is stupid but when things are for preorder, does it mean that also stores could make orders for the distro color or so already?
  2. I thought this was gonna be about chocolate eggs and got curious why would anyone need to figure out what to do with them. Anyways my two cents, I'd recommend making some "egg butter" if you still have any eggs left and haven't tried this before: http://www.food.com/recipe/munavoi-finnish-egg-butter-180624 .
  3. AC4 - Burn The World 12", two copies (one for friend) bought at AC4's gig Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats - Poison Apple 7" (color: green), from local record store Lighthouse Project - Gift 12" (needed black one to add to collection), bought at their gig Lighthouse Project - Enne 7", bought at their gig
  4. Sorry for a bump as no ordering info or so. I'm just so stoked about this band atm. Picked up the new record at their gig, kinda rad to hear "kiitos" (=thanks) from Dennis Lyxzén himself after purchasing two copies. Also a nice bonus that the vinyl came with a cd too. Prior to this AC4 was just a familiar name and after first listens via spotify I wasn't that convinced but after seeing them live - definitely turned that around. I had never seen any of Dennis's other bands live so I had no idea this guy would be so all over the place and so damn funny! Traveling tomorrow to see them again for the last show on the tour. Hoping more people would show up as the first show on the tour was the only one not followed by public holiday or weekend (hello getting only 2.5h sleep before 9h work shift. late midweek gigs. not a fan). I highly recommend catching AC4 live if you ever have the chance. Nice addition DW!
  5. THIS. I showed the band how freaking ridiculous prices fans are paying for a copy these days, my 2 cents cos I'd love to own this as vinyl. Dreamworks should realize there's definitely demand for it. Back in the day when it was released, the band had to push it to even get it pressed on vinyl cos the label wasn't really into the idea. Anyways, will definitely get RPM10, one of my favourite records for sure.
  6. Seeing them pretty much at the middle of the Eurotour, there's gotta be still some left of the 700. Hopefully.
  7. Lighthouse Project - Gift I gave my cd copy of the album to Rise Against's vocalist/guitarist Tim in Feb 2009. Three months later was announced that Rise Against would play in Finland for the first time with Lighthouse Project as their hand-picked support. Later when my friend got to talk with Tim and ask about this whole deal, he told her how they only picked them as their support because of the cd I have given to him (Tim eg. mentioned they reminded him of Refused). LHP then sent me new copy of the cd and to my surprise also the vinyl of the album as a thank you for accidentally scoring them their biggest gig (nearly 3000 capacity venue) to date. Now the white variation of Gift as vinyl is definitely one of my most precious in my collection. Not only was it one of my first vinyl records but it's also in my top 3 all time favourite albums.
  8. I'm most looking forward to Converge in June (festival gig though). Club gigs coming up: Cult of Luna, Lighthouse Project + AC4 (might go for two shows on this tour) and Agalloch. I really want to see a show on Deafheaven + The Secret tour but I'm starting to lose hope the tour would still come to Finland, so at some point I gotta figure out where to catch them then. you travelin around for them or a case of 3 sold out shows in same location?
  9. Jake posted comment on J.Bannon facebook regarding the big announcement: "I was just informed that we will now have to wait until Monday. The anticipation builds!"
  10. name: Piia (but surprisingly many native english speakers spell it for some odd reason as Pila, to the point I've started to save the record mailers that have my name written this way) fave bands: Rise Against, Karnivool & Converge. +boiling under: Touché Amoré. The bands I would (and have) spent the most money on to see them live. social media stuff: Iast.fm is my favourite hobbies: gig road-trips (for example, check my post on best shows you've been to topic) +taking pics of pigeons in different cities. random things: I cannot get sick of ryebread (finnish one, it's the best over here). For the love of food and music I have ryebread tattoo on my right foot and vinyl record on my left. And I guess I could mention, I'm on this board mostly as an observer as I'm quite new to the collecting game. It's fascinating to browse through different topics where information is available, eg. when it comes to choosing a record player etc (I def want to upgrade at some point so these topics help). Language barrier makes it tad bit harder to understand all that technical mambo jambo but trying my best! +already made couple purchase thanks to those PO topics. Cheers for those!
  11. I love to talk about shows and hear other people's experiences even if they saw a band I've not even heard of. I could post shittons to this topic but I'm gonna go with the most recent and epic one. Best decision I've made when it comes to gigs was to attend most of the shows on Converge's (+ Touché Amoré) All We Love We Leave Behind Euro tour. Especially the last part of the tour: 12 shows in 12 days = incredible. Funnily enough, the first of the shows that took place in Copenhagen, Denmark stood out as the memorable. It was the smallest, most uniqie venue on the tour with a just 30cm high stage. Crowd was super fun and active, just what you wanted from a show like this. What made the night even more amazing were the out of the blue song dedications (glacial pace & suckerfish) for me and my friend from both of the bands we were there to see. Even on top of that, Jeremy chose the song he does in the middle of Adieux based on the matching band tees me and my friend had! Night to remember for sure. I loved how Derek said about "riding on concert's high" cos I got myself a permanent high from that tour for sure.
  12. I would understand when stated "Kvelertak will release their record in many different colors" and when next to the record in webstores "flag colored vinyl" that it would really mean the vinyl is colored. I certainly hope they don't mess with the album art with some damn flag colors over it. I would not want to pay 2€ extra for something like this. That being said, birdshit on the cover and my home country as one of the special version +all the praising words over the years, I guess it's finally time to check this band out properly. *edit* my friend Wexzer guessed that since it's 2LP, perhaps they just have eg. for Sweden one yellow and one blue vinyl etc.. would work for those countries except Norway
  13. At my local record store, they display few records with a plastic sleeve thing that holds 5 records at once. After some googling around, found a crappy picture to give the idea what it's like (pictured is 7" version): It definitely looks better/not as flimsy in real life. I'm tempted to get one ..or try o make a DIY version of it.
  14. I really enjoy this topic! Even with the overdose of all that Ikea -though I gotta admit expedits really seem to do the trick. Beside that I've def got some ideas and inspiration how to store my little but growing collection. Hoping to contribute to this topic one day if I dare. No personal experience but I've read a tip that using weather strip could do the trick. Must be one of the easiest/cheapest solutions really if truly works. Anyone tried?
  15. Really hoping "soon" in this case means this will be out before the tour. Rad that DW is on this!
  16. Sorry peeps, I already got the dibs on that 2nd copy during mine and wexzer's Converge tour adventures back in December, so no dollar$ will get you that extra copy.
  17. Greetings from Europe, tapes went up around 00-1am, so I'm glad my friend was still up even though not the wisest move considering the daily obligations he had coming up. We had a deal we would look out for each other in the case these went up and one wouldn't be able to order SO in this case some level of insomnia turned out to be positive thing. Ok still confusing but the point is, it's great to have a friend who also shares the love for Converge and is not an selfish asshole. It would be super easy to make a profit from that extra copy (eg. one got sold for 25usd on discogs just today).yes offtopic, carrying on! Maybe these boxes will travel with the band to the land Down Under..?
  18. Times like these I'm thankful DW didn't have "one per customer!!" limit and that my friend has fucked up daily rhythm (ok, sucks but right now not) so he was able to get a copy of that tape for me as well. Yay for rad friends who like Converge!
  19. I asked Jeremy and these are limited 17 per show. But eg today there were still copies left by the end of Converge's set. About one person buying multiple copies "if we know we can trust that person."
  20. I had the pleasure to see these guys live a few times just recently and from what I heard live, can't wait to give the record first proper listen it deserves! My friend asked about the colors and for 1st press these should be clear, white and yellow -and then 2nd press being black.
  21. Thanks to this topic I learned about this LP! Ordered one from Piccadilly Records - it has the same cover as the one on Deathwaltz +came with the poster. I guess the price difference between the two sites was with the color as my copy is regular black.
  22. I guess I came across the site after googling if certain albums I had on cds were pressed on vinyl. Can't pin point exactly when but now I'm done with just lurking -easier to keep up as a register user for sure.
