  1. Our Australian distributor informed me today of a small Interpunk import order for a lot of our catalog (including Waking Season). These are very pricey imports exacerbated by poor exchange rates, but it might save you a few dollars instead of ordering from me direct if your keen before they all go. http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=222855
  2. A bunch of Germans did a group order already. Shipping AUS to EUROPE is expensive, but we've been using a new courier broker for big vinyl orders instead of the post to great effect. If you'd like an estimate, get in touch with the number of records you're after and full shipping address and I will probably be able to do better than the shipping calculator in the webstore. http://hobbledehoyrecords.com/contact-us/
  3. The album is a return from a prolonged dark period... but it's certainly an album in of itself. It's warm, earthy... very atmospheric.
  4. Hey thanks Northern Hemisphere pals for picking this up! The Tunnel Blanket 2LP found its way to interpunk through one of our distributors. As I don't have many left, no distributors will be restocked, therefore none for interpunk. So once they run out, it's unlikely they will get more. There might be a repress in the future, but nothing urgent.
  5. keith shared this record with me not too long ago - e!e! best yet. fans won't be disappointed.
  6. UPDATE - Pressing is /500 Navy Blue for Hobbledehoy /3000 Copper for Suicide Squeeze The plant had previously given me incorrect information. Issues arose with the gatefolds/inner sleeves, we're not able to do < 500 and because of all the deluxe features we had to use the same plant as the US pressing to ensure quality/consistency. This now means the Hobbledehoy pressing will include printed inner sleeves. If you've ordered and have questions, reply to the order email and I'll get back to you ASAP
  7. whoops, i forgot out recent caspian pressing. yes that was opaque, but a seafoam blue i guess. custom colours are a nightmare for vinyl, you're absolutely right. basically, you hold your breath and see what the plant does. sometimes it works out for you.
  8. I'd prefer transparent. All Hobbledehoy releases on blue so far have been transparent. But the plant have noted in order to get the colour to a darker navy blue it will most likely be opaque, otherwise it'd be too bright.
  9. sorry folks, i forgot our store has an extension which approximates your currency exchange rate in the product pages. checkout will give you prices in AUD, which is what payment will be made in. i am looking for a better solution for this.
  10. important to note, all prices are in $AUD... which means you can shave about 10% off the cost when factoring the USD exchange rate. assuming you haven't already.
  11. Hey folks! Few things of note here: The US / Suicide Squeeze pressing is /3000 Copper. AUS / Hobbledehoy is only /500 Blue. Obviously there are pretty high costs for a 2LP gatefold, and this is amplified being in Australia. The packaging is a gatefold with uncoated board, and there is copper foil printing on both editions (=$$$$). Thank you for the kind words! RE: GROUP BUY... Any postage / couier shipping internationally out of Australia is incredibly expensive. Even internally... it's woeful. And really hurts what I'm trying to do with Hobbledehoy, but we can't share this record with an overseas distro so online ordering is the only option. This album is incredible, a great progression for the band... and it's going to be a beautiful package once it all comes together. ORDER - http://hobbledehoyrecords.com/store/this-will-destroy-you-another-language/ EDIT: PRESS IS /500
  12. Kevin has teamed up with us at Hobbledehoy to give these an Australian / New Zealand release (FINALLY). Pre-order Bubblegum + Bulldozer LPs now, shipping from this week (Bundle is available). Split release between Hobbledehoy and his own label Devinyl. For those really into it... - LPs are on CLEAR vinyl, same pressing plant / centre labels used in the US pressing. - Both jackets are matte finish, unlike other pressings (Bubblegum was semi-gloss previously). Bulldozer has the spot-gloss too. Include Hobbledehoy catalog codes, logos, etc. http://hobbledehoyrecords.com/store/brand/kevin-devine/

  14. Thanks Don, this was a really nice thing you did here for everyone. The vinyl was cut from the original plates and at the same plant as the Triple Crown release, so there won't be any difference there. The gatefolds we had to do closer to home to arrive in time for the tour. They're Japanese, and while feel thinner are still comparable, they're 380gsm (obviously not as heavy as the triple crown gatefolds), What happens with our jackets using the Japanese card stock is that they're the same weight as another jacket that's of equal weight, but appear thinner as the manufacturer binds the paper tighter to ensure stiffness, which is better suited to the weight of vinyl. Whereas Pirates Press jackets are the opposite, and while might feel thicker are quite soft - more likely to get corner dings, splits, etc.
