  1. Hey, I'm not the insecure beardo worried about up and down votes. FWIW, you earned it for your stating Pt VII was the best (original and IV are obviously tops). I'm getting a kick out of this thread though. So many people wanting that blood-filled to the point of insanity. The worst I see about Waxwork's problems are that you keep your money for an extra day. Not the end of the world.
  2. Well, we got our first release announced for the Death Waltz originals series: "The debut release on Death Waltz Originals is not only a brand new recording from Umberto & Antoni Maiovvi entitled 'The Hook & Pull Gang’ but is also a full re-score of the notorious classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The duo will exclusively perform the re-score live at MondoCon & Beyond Fest in September . The screenings will retain ALL of the dialogue and sound effects and will be accompanied by brand new music to accompany the images on screen.. The double album comes on coloured swirl vinyl and will only be available at the screenings. The release is limited to 800 copies." Preview here: https://soundcloud.com/deathwaltzrecs/sets/umberto-anton-maiovvi-the-hook-pull-gang Only downside is it being sold only at the screening. Love me some Umberto.
  3. Beginning of July with Ash Borer. The night before was Thou and The Body. Both shows were at the shop.
  4. No, but it was nice to snag the re-presses of I and III at their Pittsburgh show.
  5. So not only are some of the dorks on this board excited about this garbage, but not a single person made reference to this!? Shame on all of you.
  6. They did mention that they will distro the new Slasher Film Festival Strategy record. So, I'm assuming original stuff along those lines.
  7. Domino sucks. $10+ for a 7" with one exclusive song? Next.
  8. Literally cannot believe how good that track is. Maybe there is something to the claims of it being as good/dark/etc as Dopethrone and Come My Fanatics.
  9. The joke was in regards to Justice's notoriously bad production and having a hard time believing even the best copy makes it sound immense.
  10. I love Primus but this record sounds pretty stupid. The track they released didn't instill much confidence either.
  11. LITA is perfect. I could care less about limited nonsense and special colors. I'd gladly save the money instead.
  12. Gin is cool and I never got around to checking out their other stuff.
  13. See, I'm not going to be worried about the dude's emotional well being anytime soon. You know why? He actually wins in the end. Dude is in a successful band in spite of his shortcomings. Wouldn't we all love to be successful at things we're not good at? 74R, is so on-point. The drumming on Sin After Sin is fan-fucking-tastic.
  14. The original pressings of those records are fine. They just have the stupid original sleeves, but that's completely irrelevant compared to the music contained on the records.
  15. See, the only thing you need to know about Pelican is that their drummer sucks. That's basically what they're known for at this point. I'm not a good drummer by any stretch of the imagination but fucking hell is that guy a pile of shit.
  16. The Beyond is incredible. So glad that I snagged a copy of the Mondo edition when it went up a few years back. Frizzi's work on that and City of the Living Dead is his best stuff, easily.
  17. There will be news about Twin Peaks when there's news about Twin Peaks. It's also not impossibly hard to follow Death Waltz on social media and be in the loop. Plus, dudes who have been waiting for The House of the Devil have had it far worse.
  18. He's always a hair behind period. Even on the records. Either way, that dude is the reason why Pelican remains the worst band I've ever seen life. Sounded like two different bands playing at once.
  19. For my money, both. That said, it contains what is probably my favorite film score ever (excluding John Carpenter stuff).
  20. So, the Beyond the Black Rainbow OST is finally up for pre-order (at least in the US). http://www.scdistribution.com/sinoiacaves/ European version to come via Death Waltz. Listen to a track here: http://www.avclub.com/article/preview-death-waltz-records-latest-cult-horror-sco-206254
