  4. CANCERS- “Fatten The Leeches” Digital is out today on Bandcamp, Itunes, Spotify & all other digital outlets!!! "CANCERS are an Athens-based alternative love child born to Ella Kaspar (DEAD DOG) and Lenny Miller (UNFUN) by way of Vancouver, Canada and New York City. The two met while toiling away on tour with their respective previous bands, and joined together out of a desire to craft their own music free from compromise. The result consists of crushing melodies, dreamy pop girl vocals, and new alternative guitars. While Cancers’ sound does evoke familiar grunge-era angst, Kaspar’s airy vocals, comparable to Beach House’s Victoria Legrand, distinguish the band from their predecessors, marrying vulnerability with sex. With their debut album Fatten the Leeches, the couple crawl hand-in-hand through anguish, alienation, despair and into the light. Tired of being pigeon-holed in the lo-fi DIY of their past, the band enlisted Jack Endino to produce the album. Endino’s early work with Seattle heavy-weights like Nirvana, Hole, Babes in Toyland and Soundgarden, established him as a king of underground rock records, and has been referred to as “the godfather of grunge.” Fatten the Leeches delivers, resolving Cancer’s adolescent lust for distortion and riffs with a satisfying pop sheen. Recorded at Soundhouse Studio in Seattle, "Fatten the Leeches" will be released on September 16 via Digital format. Dead Broke Rekerds will be handling the Vinyl & Cassette Tape, while their own label Kandy Kane Records, handles the CD version. Cancers will be playing a string of Midwest and East coast cities this summer/fall in support of their release." 16. Hey guys! I'm opening up a small vinyl and high-end/vintage audio store in Toronto, Canada within the next month! My plan is to stock vinyl from art/indie labels, usually small and limited run stuff that you can't really find anywhere else. I already have the following labels on board, but am running out of names! If you guys can suggest your faves that I should contact, that would be great! Also, if anyone is in the Toronto area, be sure to let me know and I can send you a quick update once we open. - Graveface Records - People in a Position to Know (PIAPTK) Records - Jigsaw Records - Polyvinyl Record Co. (In contact with Kindercore and Mexican Summer, but no response/no deal finalized as of yet) Cheers and all the best! Julian
  17. So a while back I purchased the bootleg version of Beyonce's latest album and since they've recently officially pressed it, I would LOVE to get rid of this. Clearly I have no use for a bootleg if I have the real deal. Also, this might not help my post... but maybe someone is looking to get a copy? Idk. Anyways, a couple of things first: 1. It's a bootleg. 2. Because it's a bootleg, the track order is different than that of the actual release (just FYI). 3. This is the worst part about it: Whoever decided to press this bootleg fucked up one of the sides of the record on the press while it was being made. I'm not super informed on how records are pressed and made, however I do have a good idea, and this particular side (featuring Drunk In Love, go figure) is slightly OFF the center. Meaning, when the record spins on this side, you can literally watch the needle SWAY about a centimeter. So as you can probably guess, the songs go a little out of tune every couple of seconds. This only affects ONE side but obviously it basically ruined this press. 4. It's hand numbered out of /1000, I forgot the actual number I have. SO... that said, I think with shipping I paid about $47 for this thing since it came from Germany. I would like to get at least $25ppd (list price before shipping) as to not totally break me from this poor investment. If anyone on here wants this thing, PM me or if you would like to trade, I'll take it for anything off of my WANT tradelist, which you can find here: https://deadformat.net/tradelist/carmognole/wants I know this isn't a deal but I thought I'd see if anyone wanted it before I throw it up on ebay. Just trying to make back a little of what I lost from it. If you think the price is unfair shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out. ALSO FYI: I know a couple other people with this bootleg and apparently all of them were pressed this way. Aside from the shoddy workmanship, everything is brand new. All three other sides sound "fine" (it is a bootleg, so I assume it wasn't used with mastered cuts for vinyl and is probably an mp3 rip). Thanks for looking!
  18. Anybody here own any Japanese records? Both japanese music and japanese pressings of other music welcome here. I am however always on the lookout for some of the rarer stuff from the very end of the vinyl era in the 80s such as X-Japan and Poison Arts. I also have a fair amount of US and British music pressed in Japan: Jefferson Airplane- Crown of Creation (1989 MFSL Japanese Pressing) Led Zeppelin- II (1992 AMJY Japanese Pressing) Led Zeppelin- IV (1981 Pioneer/Warner Japanese Pressing) Led Zeppelin- Houses of the Holy (1976 Pioneer/Warner Japanese Pressing) Led Zeppelin- Physical Graffiti (1992 AMJY Japanese Pressing) Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon (1979 MFSL Japanese Pressing) Anyone got some cool stuff to share?

  21. Whats up First topic post , so go easy if im not doing it right. Looking for to get my hands of blink 182 pressings, as my collection has become some what pretentious and hipster'ish, i havent got any of my most listened to and favorite albums iv listened to through out my complete teenage years and early 20's ..... and now. Iv always been aware of the prices of the albums but iv been a member of a forum in Ireland for a while and people on here seem to have the same mentality for selling vinyl, not profiteering off others, which is cool, well from what iv noticed anyway. Looking for others too ,The Dead Weather & The Kills Looking to buy the following in any pressings. Preferably the self titled album I would like first and in the following order. Blink 182 Self titled Enema of the state Dude Ranch chesire Cat buddah +44 When your heart stops beating The Dead Weather Horehound Sea Of Cowards The Kills Midnight Bloom Thanks for reading through and hope you can sort me out Best
  22. Look I came across the wrong way, listen to a digital sources records. I shelled out a ton of money on Revolver. It's a digital remaster the record doesn't sound right you lose sound you're better off with mp3s. If it's analog it sounds better than both. I realize people have spent a ton of money I have spent a lot as well, but if you listen without thinking I'm wrong you'll see I'm right. That's all I've done the past year.
  23. I have a sealed copy of the Yo Gabba Gabba! Super Music Friends that i'm looking to sell or trade. Drop me a line.

  25. So I had bought the Hot Topic exclusive Breaking Bad picture disc a few months ago and just recently bought the standard gatefold edition. I just wanted to see if anyone would want to do a trade for my picture disc version? I'm really open to what I'd be willing to trade for. Anyway, hope someone wants to trade!
