simple_torture
Whatever it is, will be much happier to buy direct than to have to wait it out on RSD.

Unfortunately, that white/black splatter is likely going to result in a fair bit of surface noise, based on other LPs I have pressed that have similar color schemes/opaque colors. Don’t Phish press at RTI? I haven’t had a bad sounding record from them yet.

RTI does usually put out high quality records. This won't be a RSD release. It's likely a repress of one of their other titles. My guess is the White Tape or Big Boat. There’s no reason for it. maybe the rumored new album? zdkaiser
timsimmons
They did do a second pressing of Party Time on gold vinyl. The color makes me think Junta. A new album makes sense too. zdkaiser
coolio
Thanks for the heads up. I was really hoping for an Oysterhead grand pecking order for RSD. My guess is this is a junta reissue. I’d be down for a farmhouse reissue though. My hoist spatter sounds fine.
zdkaiser
Goddamn...I could go for an Oysterhead reissue.
museummouth
Oysterhead didn’t even cross my mind. That’d be great too. Or Kasvot Vaxt finally.
bgdesign
That color scheme SCREAMS Oysterhead. I'd be happy with either. bigdz68
coolio
Phish surprised fans by announcing the upcoming release of a new studio album entitled Sigma Oasis. The four members of the band revealed they will unveil the follow-up to 2016’s Big Boat via a listening party at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1. The announcement came during setbreak of the band’s Dinner And A Movie: An Archival Video Seriesreplay on Tuesday night. Phish picked their July 27, 2014 show at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland as this week’s replay. When the first set was finished, footage of the four members of Phish chatting was displayed. Keyboardist Page McConnell was the first to reveal a new Phish album was on the way. I don’t think they’d do a joke during all this and Phish the kind of band to release something on April Fools day. Studio version of Everything’s Right was teased during the stream too. The vinyl mock up makes sense too now as they mentioned the cover photo was shot in the snow outside the barn while recording. Hoping for some new songs but excited for possible studio versions of Sigma Oasis Steam Mercury Thread Epitaph Infinite Shade Evening Song Set Your Soul Free
simple_torture
Yeah, it would be very Phish to actually make an announcement on April Fool's Day.
timsimmons
They did say it was finished just last week though. Quote Page explained Phish worked with engineer Vance Powell, who completed the project “just last week.” https://www.jambase.com/article/phish-sigma-oasis-new-album

simple_torture
Bull Moose has the Junta reissue up too; if that's the price for a 3-LP splatter vinyl then god damn (I imagine this is black, maybe splatter through Dry Goods?): https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34482297/phish-junta-3lp
