paranoidantroyd
With the right connections it is possible to get one of the 50 or so that are currently owned by D's friends and associates, if you so choose.

Where did you hear that from? joshman150
paranoidantroyd
I heard an interview with Questo a few weeks ago and he said something to the effect of "the wax sounds utterly amazing" and attributed that to having recorded the entire album on analog tape. Couple that with the fact that I downloaded a copy of the album on the Saturday before D premiered it in NYC and it's quite obviously a vinyl rip. I'm just guessing at the 50 copies thingy. That's sick. That information is going to make the wait even harder.

paranoidantroyd
It was announced either Friday or Saturday prior to the listening sesh in NYC, which was Sunday.

You didn't answer the question where did you download it from. I find it hard to believe it leaked especially since it was not on what.cd until digital release day

paranoidantroyd
-"Sugah Daddy" was available to download/stream through redbull.com @ 3am Sunday morning. -I downloaded the full album through Vuze around 4am. -NYC listening session was 6pm that evening. -Full album was available to stream through various outlets shortly after midnight. Not sure how it's hard to believe an album leaked a whopping 20 hours before release.

DigitalZombie
And where was this pressed again? This kind of question is what people need to start flooding the label's inboxes with. Where a record is pressed and who mastered it should always be identified. Email the labels until it becomes standard release info.

Where a record is pressed and who mastered it should always be identified. Email the labels until it becomes standard release info. I dont have any recent releases from RCA, but usually every record company uses the same cutting engineers and pressing plants for years, so that is a very good indicator. RCA is related with Sony (from Wikipedia) and Sony Legacy releases are very well done, so I hope for the best - if the album is indeed recorded analog (as mentioned in this thread). The mp3-s Im having in my computer now are pretty bad though (mastering wise - some of the songs are pretty brickwalled).

BeardedSteven
I got mine in the mail on Friday and saw it in my local store that day as well. People were definitely buying it. Shouldn't be too hard to find but grab it if you see it. It sounds great!
