HybridxReality
I was about to play this album and I noticed this: Any way to glue it back together?
HybridxReality
I'm assuming you can glue it back together. I'm just wondering with what kind of glue.
Guest
Get some kind of acid free glue, and go light on it.

skadaddy
Also, Rick Harrison always tells people who come to the shop that they have decreased the value of their item by trying to repair it. So if you ever plan on selling it...
stranaspank
I've always used plain old elementary school Elmers. Assuming you don't smear it all over the jacket, I don't know how anyone would ever be the wiser.
HybridxReality
I'm not going to use duct tape and I'm definitely not looking to sell it as well.
skadaddy
Yeah...mine was meant to be funny. Seriously, Elmer's all purpose glue is a pretty simple, safe glue. I'd be surprised if it did any damage. If you're worried, hit the thrift store on the way home from buying the glue stick and grab a $0.99 test sleeve.
dreamover
not trying to be an asshole, but i find it super weird when i see threads like this. i would never think to ask a forum of people what to do about this. my first thought would be to use glue. kurtz

The reason why I ask is because I want to know what works best for this. I knew tape was out of the question, but I wanted to see what kind of glue to use. Apparently Elmer's works just fine, so now I know this. But yeah, completely weird to ask a vinyl question on VINYL Collective.

Origami? kurtz

HybridxReality
How do you think jackets are held together in the first place? Magic? Origami? Again, WHAT KIND OF GLUE. Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't ruin the jacket with certain types of glue. I knew I'd get a couple trolls, but damn. grizzlyfoz

Freki
Guess I missed the day in kindergarten when they taught us about archival, acid-free adhesives.

To be fair, Gorilla Glue wouldn't be great.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
If you want to be a squid use this http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/pva-polyvinyl-acetate-glue-8oz/archival-adhesive-tapes/ Otherwise any other glue will work just fine. Including gorilla glue and elmers glue.

You must have been too busy eating the paste to realize it sticks paper together.
