Le Gogh
Originally intending to release a double album, Opeth issued Deliverance and Damnation 5 months apart in 2002 and 2003. Over 15 years later, the wrong has been righted! Available as a triple vinyl package, or 2cd/2dvd-a 'bookset' version, completely remixed by Steven Wilson and Bruce Soord Vinyl: https://www.burningshed.com/store/opeth/product/179/6949/ CD/DVD: https://www.burningshed.com/store/opeth/product/179/6948/ djinnocide and Mourning Wood
kannibal
I ordered both sets from omerch earlier today. It was expensive, but, these sets look great.
Le Gogh
Oh man! I wanna hear that 5.1 mix, but I don't have surround sound. Plus I cant justify spending that much. I'll have to settle for seeing them play Ghost Reveries in full next month! Also, this is up on amazon. Its £2 more in the UK, but I guess no shipping costs and pay on dispatch... kannibal
Nice. I looked on Amazon and omerch in the U.S., but there was nothing listed at either site, so I ordered from omerch.eu. Looking forward to them.
djinnocide
I've got to stop coming to this forum. It's getting to be expensive! Couldn't resist pulling the trigger on this. Two great albums that I didn't already own and in a three record set it was a no brainer. The records themselves were pretty reasonably priced, actually, but it's the shipping where they got me. It's where they always get me.
dirac
really tempted by this.

morfiend
Hmmm, my first press Damnation sounds really good and I don't listen to Deliverence all that much so right now I'm passing.
kannibal
The only reason I'm biting on these are the stereo remixes and the 5.1 mixes. I'll still own the original mixes. I usually only double dip on things that will have a significant difference in sound. Remixes usually fall into that category.
anchorlessbodies
Wow, the new cover is really awful, totally not matching with the atmosphere of these masterpieces. I am really interested in the new mixes but might have to pass because of this.
The Vool
Received it and I'm just spinning Damnation....fantastic sound!!!!
Le Gogh
Oh man, cant wait for mine now! Apparently its been delivered to my neighbour today, so will pick it up shortly. Wont get a chance to listen to it until tomorrow though. Hows the package as a whole? Is it a box, or just a triple LP sleeve?
kannibal
Where did you order from?
The Vool
Ordered from jpc.de The package is rather diasppointing! It's just the triple LP sleeve (no gatefold or anything similar) with three paper sleeves containing the records...
Le Gogh
Awesome! Mine was Amazon UK. Ah well, for basically the same price as one of the albums I'm not gonna moan about the packaging. Looking forward to hearing them!
The Vool
Yeah, thought the same... FInished listening Damnation (now listening to the Mono/The Ocean split ) and it really sounds great! Will probabl give Deliverance a spin later (haven't listened to the record for at least 5 years...)
ephemeral
Kinda disappointing that the packaging is like that but as long as the remaster and records in general sound good it's ok. It was basically the price of one of the albums for both
kannibal
I ordered from Omerch. I am really looking forward to this. Bought both the vinyl and digital sets. Haven't heard anything yet regarding shipment.
Le Gogh
Just opened mine. Looks nice, but its not a double/triple gatefold or anything which is a shame. Looking forward to listening to it tomorrow (heading straight out to a friends place so no time to spin it). Only annoying thing is Amazon packaged it in a huge box, so it has moved about and has a corner bend. Luckily its nothing awful, and as the cover is white it's not too obvious. They could have easily fit it in a normal sleeve so seems a bit odd...
ephemeral
Just got my copy yesterday and gave it a spin. The mix of Deliverance sounds completely different and Damnation sounds really good. The packaging is nothing exciting but both records sound really good
