flood
fly into la guardia or kennedy bro... it'll be a ton cheaper.. then you can probably get an airport van or the train right into islip
scottheisel
Typically whatever airline has a hub in your city will have the cheapest prices.
roadmonkey
You aren't going to find super cheap flights any more, unless you get really lucky. Thank you oil price increases
faith
I wanted to fly home for a few weeks this summer instead of driving and man.. airfaire is killing me right now. Even last minute trips are like close to a thousand per person I'm not sure what I'll do. I'm very particular about who I fly with too
sgoodcore
Try JetBlue, they have new service to New Yawk and I believe its decently priced. If your times and such are really flexible try going with Expedia, Orbitz, Travelolcity, etc and bargaining for a price.
matt
i just booked my flight from ca to ny for aug for $300 after taxes through priceline on american. the airlines that seemed to be the cheapest were american, continental, and delta. try some of these websites to look at flights ultimatefares.com, kayak.com, sidestep.com, priceline, and travelocity. If your times and such are really flexible try going with Expedia, Orbitz, Travelolcity, etc and bargaining for a price. lately, I find that it's cheaper to go directly through the airline's website. I will use those sites to find the 2 or 3 cheapest flights and then check directly through the airline. Spirit cutting services out of Detroit has been killing me. Especially because I want to go to Boston in a week and they used to have a direct flight
flood
ive been getting $300 flights from hartford to Ohare.. and hartford is a small ass airport
zachobbs
I use Airtran and can usually get a one-way flight for under $100. Just gotta look out for their web specials or whatever. Richmond to ATL was $99 with taxes, Baltimore to ATL was about the same, and my tickets to and from Philly are around $110.
ronniethebear
I just checked Southwest and a round trip was in the $325-400 range...I'm not sure you're gonna find it much cheaper than that.

salparadise
airtran is the cheapest, almost always. sometimes there are good jetblue prices. but generally airtran. i found flights for 240 after taxes and all of that, one stop. and there was one for 259 non-stop. benchwarmer
yea airtran has always been the cheapest option for me too. but you also get what you pay for. terrible customer service. I'm going to VA next month, and I'm driving, it's cheaper than flying.
salparadise
i don't expect much when i fly. give me my snack and my coke and leave me alone. i had a REALLY hot really nice attendant last time, though.
drunkenthird
in these situations i kinda miss RyanAir and their cheap 10 euro flights.
