slymer
I saw Cory Brannon open for Drag The River and he was great. I don't listen to his CD that much though.
jacobe
The last time i saw Lucero Cory Brannon opened and played for an hour which was 59 minutes to long. After Cory another band played and they sounded pretty good till the singing started. I can't remember the bands name but i remember their record had a panda eating bamboo with blood dripping from its mouth. Was this at a venue that looks like it was once a strip club? I was at that show if it was. I've seen Lucero over 30 times and that was one of my favorite times seeing them EVER, they played forever, played stuff I 've never seen them do before or since. youarethere
Daughters. Fuck this band. They are shit and that is a FACT! Horrible live. I don't get how spitting all over your mic and drinking people's pints and licking members of the audience is an enjoyable watch.

You just listed all the reasons it is awesome to watch Daughters (at least from a distance). They always play surprisingly tight also. Great live band. samlesous
Moneen, Alexisonfire, A Static Lullaby. That last one for sure along with The Spookies, a mid-nineties rip off Misfits band I saw open for Backside.

COry tends to be hit or miss, it has to do with how much wiskey he drank....the night i went he was approached by a rep from sony music trying to get him to sign a contract and move up to the majors, so me and him had some shots he said the funniest thing ive every heard: "man, this dude wants me to sign a major label deal..but he thinks it'll make money, this shit couldn't make money if you shoved my album up a turkeys ass and sold it the day before thanksgiving, im doing it because i love the music." it was probably the most honest thing ive every heard a musician say...and the funniest...lulz
