Brady and Manning are HOF locks, brees and Rodgers are not. if either of those two sustain a serious injury and struggle after they come back they will not get in, but if that were to happen to either Brady or Manning, at this point in their careers, they would get into the HOF. Brees and Rodgers need a couple more star seasons before they're HOF locks at all.

Brees not a lock?

Just has the all time single season passing record, the record for most consecutive games with a passing td, hes a 7 time pro bowler, and Super Bowl mvp. Still is going to add to a lot of his records.

if his career ended today?  no, not in my opinion.  im not saying he wont be a HOF, but of the 4 QB's that were mentioned, if everyones careers ended today, Manning and Brady are the only HOF QB.

All Pro>Pro Bowler

If he's not a lock, he's very close.

if brees would go down this sunday, i'm still pretty sure he would find himself in the hof. looking again at his accolades i feel pretty confident of that.

Some of the recent QBs to get in we're Steve Young, Troy Aikman, John Elway, Joe Montana, Warren Moon, Dan Marino.

Most of those guys did their damage in the 80s-early 90s. So the assumption would be that they let QBs at the same rate going forward but you could frame the question as "is Drew Brees one of the 5 or so best QBs of the last 15 years?" The answer to that question is undoubtedly "yes". Not saying that perfectly equates to him being in the hall but its a good indicator.

Dude seriously, take Flacco's dick out of your mouth already. I cant believe you put him in that list over Rodgers let alone Kurt mother fucking Warner. Flacco is over rated as fuck and just the product of having a good team and squeaking by being a mediocre QB. How long did the Ravens D carry that team for?

EDIT: And how could I forget the late great Steve Mcnair.

Not really. Im actually laughing at how hard you are riding that dudes dick

i really just do it on here for shits and giggles.  especially because the elite convo comes up seasonally.

i do think flacco is underrated by most, but he is not on the consistent level of rodgers, manning, brady, or brees.  however, he does have the ability to do so during his (hopefully) long career.  he has shown it many times on very important situations.  cam cameron was a cancer for the offense and didn't tailor to joe's skill set.  joe and him constantly disagreed about everything on the offensive side of the ball.  there is a reason he didn't find another OC job.  caldwell on the other hand does know how to display flaccos skill set.

McNair and Warner are definitely not first rounders.

The only other current QB besides the four mentioned that could be considered an HOF contender at the moment would be Ben Roethlisberger. He's gonna need a big season this year though. He's got to come back and return to Big Ben form though.

I don't see him returning to anything but whatever form a pile of bones makes behind that offensive line.
