chiefwahoo
Appears to no longer be made in the color that I already have. And I need a new one. Two different colored ones in the same room is going to look stupid. What the hell do I do now? Mine's brown, but much darker than "birch" and waaaay lighter than black-brown. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20047676

They often have different stuff than website yeah, you might luck out. thats weird that they got rid of that color. its more of a natural wood tone, my friend has two of them. sucks cuz i totally understand where your coming from, i HATE when the furniture doesnt match. ronniethebear
I bet you have the medium brown color, right? I have a bed in that color, and now they don't seem to sell ANYthing in it anymore. Luckily I already got the dresser to match.

kurtmanner
I just picked up a 4x2 Expedit because I was quickly running out of space. I also picked up this (in white):http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70106814 to mount on the wall for 7"s.

kyle
Yeah, yer either gonna have to paint both your old Expedit and the new one you buy or get two new Expedits. Personally, I'd just get new Expedits and sell what you have, because I wouldn't want to waste my time on that, however, thats your call to make. Either that or just go with mis-matching furntiure, but thats pretty ugly.

forgeagain
You can't repaint plastic-coated fiberboard. It'll look absolutely horrible. If this was made of real wood you could sand it down and stain it, but come on, the shelf is only $100. Sell yours to someone nearby, go buy two matching ones. Those little drawers are pretty hot. I'ma have to buy two of those. I have some LEKMAN boxes now, which I dig. But the drawers are the hotness.

Guest Admin
we need another unit for vinyl collective but it costs more to ship it than the actual unit costs. if anyone wants to drive one to Denver, get in touch! It sucks that Ikea doesn't have cheaper shipping options.

Anyway, how many LP's does that shelf hold?
