So wish me luck, I need it, in getting all the variants. Save all the "why buy 5975874 versions of one record" stuff. It's my collection and my money (and my body, I do what I want!) This is what I got so far.

First up, this is the dark red/Gray set

This is the dark red/gray with the normal red/gray. You can see the difference is really big.

Purple/White (the white is more a seafoam green now that I look at it in the light)

Dark Green/White (Seafoam Green)

Gray/Purple (The gray is more of an olive. Compared to the gray in the red/gray set, it's WAY different)

this release is seriously ridiculous.

i give you credit for being able to stick with it.

i really dislike when they have double lp's with two different colored records.

is it even known yet if that's all the variations for this press?

Thanks man...Tell me about it. I figure I'm this far in, I can't give up now ya know? I have no idea, I'm hoping someone can post if they have something not pictured. I know there was a Misc section in the pic Virgil posted, but not sure what that means exactly.

Does anyone know how a pressing like this could happen? Did the label intentionally state "here are all the colors/combinations that we want" or did the plan just press them on whatever vinyl they had laying around?

From what I've read, it was the pressing plant that screwed up. It was supposed to be clear vinyl.

Yeah... I'm probably only going to try to get one of each color disc period instead of getting a red/green, red/white, red/plum, etc... seems much easier. That and there's no way to know people aren't mixing and matching them to sell on eBay or somewhere for a higher price. i.e. if a red/green only goes for $15, and a plum/white goes for $15, but a red/white goes for $75, you can bet people will be mixing them. : /
