silentgods
So i won a copy of Veils it White on ebay for a great deal less then it usually goes for. i went and paid for the record. and then tonight i get this from paypal. and a note that he refunded my money. Subject: Seller stubborness credit Note:Heh, so I decided to keep the Veils it White. I feel bad that I got your hopes up. Use this credit on my items or whatever. Have a nice day. Can he do this? i'm pissed off cause i really wanted the record and was happy cause i got it so cheap.
cadetapplesauce
it doesnt seem like a legit reason. you could probably contest it. you can't sell something on ebay then decide, "eh, i want to keep it. nevermind. i'll just refund the guy and it'll all go away." even though tthat's clearly what this guy did. enjoyadrian
wow that is shitty. He shouldve set a reserve if he didnt want it to go so cheap.
Snaggle Von Swift
such an asshole move. i'd definitely report it, i'm sure they can't force him to give it to you but it may give him a strike or something
lostatsea
such an asshole move.i'd definitely report it, i'm sure they can't force him to give it to you but it may give him a strike or something agreed fully
adamlikesmusic
Yeah, that's shitty. Some of my auctions end dirt cheap sometimes (I usually take a hit on them), and as much as I'd sometimes like to just keep the items, I could never do that. I'd hate for it to be done to me, so I wouldn't do it to someone else. I'd report it.
googlemyass
contest it.

celebdeath
yep, report it. dont put it on ebay if you're not prepared to let it go - whatever the price is. what a wanker.
jessenpr
yeah... obviously he doesn't understand the word "you are entering a binding contract"
jon720
I won Punk In Drublic months ago for 40 when they were going for like 70 and 80 bucks. The seller sent me a message saying "Sorry, this item is no longer for sale." Yeah, it sucks and is bullshit, but you can't really do anything about it. rhythmgtr5
i'd definitely bring it up with ebay. let us know what happens with this once you get it sorted out
james
this same thing happened to me once...ebay obviously can't force him to mail the record. i agree with above--report it to ebay but i'd also leave negative feedback for him.
silentgods
did i mention that he also sent me a "credit" of two dollars?

silentgods
Just out of curiousity where would i have to go on ebay to report him? cause basically my e-mail is going to consist of, bummer you didn't get the 100 this normally goes for. but stop being a fucking shit wizard and give me my goddamned record. but probally something more kosher. what a goddamned shit wizard. elgato
Start here. It's been a while since I had to use it, but eBay requires that you try and resolve things with the seller first. There may even be a specified time you need to wait. So look into that, and start trying to reason with the guy. Keep your emails civil and save EVERYTHING he sends you; you'll want it all when it comes time to actually initiate the complaint process. Since he admits right up front that he just decided not to sell it to you, he's broken his seller contract. Most jerks will just say it was lost in the mail or damaged before they could ship it in order to still come out OK, but this guy is clearly not that smart. So long as you keep all of your emails very cool and collected, (probably want to avoid calling him a shit wizard,) you may be able to convince him it's in his best interest to send you the record rather than risk punishment by eBay. That said, eBay is notoriously lax on asshole sellers, so unless things have changed, the best you might get our of this is a chance to warn others via some negative feedback. music4ever
Ebay's rules says if you paid he must ship you the item. You can pay him and tell him to ship or you'll file a formal complaint and his account could get shut down.
Duff
like everyone else said; report it and leave negative feedback. as long as he refunded you its a longshot that ebay will do anything because all they care about is making money, and since they already got their listing fees they could care less about you, the buyer. xxmartinxx
At least the dude could have lied and said it was lost or ruined or broken, or something.

desensitizedbyu
If he puts it up again, just put an insanely highbid, then when you win send him a message saying "Heh, so I decided that I don't want to pay because you're a dick. Have a shitty day."
damagdsole
holy shit you cant do that! what an asshole
numanoid
You should be able to get his account shut down. But who knows...
hempy3
thats terrible, but get this. i am in a dispute right now w/ a seller who sold me four pairs of jeans, all of which were listed as size 32x32. each and every size were different, not one was 32x32. The seller is telling me no returns and I have to file a paypal claim...the seller even told me to sell them individually and whatever the difference was that they'd pay me that amount. so you're not the only one dealing w/ a shit wizard...definitely feel your pain!
