cadetapplesauce
btw, if anyone's interested, warner bros is having a sale, $16.99 for dookie and 39/smooth, $15.99 for kerplunk. $4 shipping + tax if in CA (i think). http://store.warnerbrosrecordsstore.com/prodList.aspx?sid=6B776B499FD943FCB1B5070782DF9A01&nocookie=true
forgeagain
Just wait it out and these will be cheaper eventually. Especially Kerplunk and 39/Smooth. If anyone wants to buy my first press of Insomniac hit me up with a reasonable offer. I love the album but I'm happy to have the CD copy given my current financial situation. Duff
i still need to get the Slappy 7", 1,000 Hours 7", and Sweet Children 7". i wish they would announce more details on that singles box set that is suppose to be coming out, at least whether it will be CD's or on vinyl. that way i'll know if i can wait to buy that or be forced to buy the 39/Smooth and Kerplunk re-presses so i don't have to pay ebay prices. mattstrike
Slightly OT, but for those interested, I just uploaded Dookie Demos to the Rarity thread.
jesse
To me this one of the only listenable Green Day albums. I rocked this shit out of this tape as a kid and will definitely pick this up when I get some money.

tim
My favourite Green Day album too ... in spite of that "Brain Stew" song (I hate that one).
mcm1610
Such a good album - so dark and good.
damagdsole
Worst Green Day album in my opinion. Went out of their way to make an uncommercial sounding record and for the most part left out all the great hooks that make a Green Day record sound like a Green Day record. there are so many wrong things about this post i don't even know where to start
scotterson
For me, Green Day started with Dookie and ended with Insomniac. same. i loved insomniac, but after that i got sick of billy joes singing. i still cant listen to even the old stuff. traffic
looks awesome, but i'll hold off and get one second-hand or something. i know it's not your fault, but that's just more money than i can spend on a record that i'm not really buying for the songs (since i've had them since i bought the tape in fourth grade). Snaggle Von Swift
hey Virgil, any idea if there is a standard edition vinyl for the new Green Day album, and if you'll be getting any copies?
Guest Admin
hey Virgil, any idea if there is a standard edition vinyl for the new Green Day album, and if you'll be getting any copies? our distributor lists one version of the vinyl (not sure of the weight) and I just posted the pre-order
lbw87
got my copy today.... it has the normal cover (with bj's guitar, not the acoustic guitar. not exactly sure what the acoustic guitar cover is all about) and seems like its on 140g, not 120g like the original. It's definitely thicker than the original. Its also got a paper sleeve and not a plastic sleeve like the original. and of course the usual website and address information has been updated
