twelvetwenty Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 Every time I see Lucero I try to talk to them at some point about the reissues. Seems like a lot of folks on this board do the same... So last night I was talking with Roy and Brian and I told them that any time it comes up on this board a ton of people say shit like, "I'll believe it when I see it", etc. They said that everything is going to be coming out soon on Sabot. Brian said that he even found the original recording for Eight Paces To Jackson and that will be issued as a 10". They specifically gave me two titles that would be coming out first (September, I think), but in my drunkenness I don't recall which two. Someone on this board mentioned a while ago that Ben said the older pressings are on shitty vinyl and he didn't get why people pay so much for them. Well, these two echoed that same sentiment. Once I got home I figured there was nothing to do but drink. After a bottle of Elmer T. Lee bourbon I wanted to watch Lucero's Bright Stars On Lonesome Nights. I took it out of the case and promptly broke it in half. I tried to tape it up to no avail. Anyone know where I can get another copy of this?
