Best of first half of 2009 lists!

Recommended Posts

The only records I can see as being on my year end list right now are:

POS - Never Better

Dan Deacon - Bromst

Passion Pit - Manners

and

mewithoutYou - It's All Crazy! It's All False! Blah blah blah!

And I already know David Bazan - Curse Your Branches will be my #1, since I've already heard versions of 75% of the songs.

Unless Ted Leo releases a reggae album this year, Propagandhi - Supporting Caste will easily be my #1 for the year

Really? Because I thought the reggae track on Living With the Living was one of the weakest ones on that album. The Rapid Response EP from last year was stellar, however.

easily my fav song off of living with the living, loved the ep too, and to the guy with the top 40, are you serious with that?

JUAN!!!! is that mandy moore album actually good? i havent heard anything about it, but if ryan adams' music has had any influence on her at all it cant be that bad.

the girl can sing, she just needs to not have some fat white producer giving her pop jamz to sing over

I dig it. It's got a folksy edge to it. I've never heard Ryan Adams' music so I don't know if he had any influence on her when recording it. There are still a couple of "poppy" parts on some songs but overall, it's definitely a completely different sound than anyone would expect.

Never heard Ryan Adams, listen to Heartbreaker, or Love is Hell, then Rock n Roll, then Gold. But first listen to Whiskeytown's "strangers almanac"
