dante3000
It's called the "double down" because it's enough to give two full grown men heart attacks.

adamlikesmusic
I actually saw this on This Is Why You're Fat. I figured it was one of those things someone made on their own, and that there was no fucking way it could be real. Is it wrong of me to kind of want one? emiri
i would totally eat that. but probably in the same way i eat double cheeseburgers. split it apart and put ketchup on the naked side. 2 burgers in one!
dante3000
Yeah, there's no shame in wanting to eat it. That's what these things are made for. The shame comes in eating it on any sort of regular basis. Like my 18 year old self did with Jack In The Box's ultimate bacon cheeseburger. jimmythescumbag
I'll try it...no cheese though. Edit: The KFC gimmick...not the pizza burger. On second thought, that burger looks tasty.

scottheisel
I can't believe that sandwich exists. However, I am definitely intrigued and will probably try one next week. As for the pizzabaconburger thing, I would LOVE to assemble something like that, but I'd need to have other people over to make sure I didn't just eat the whole thing myself. I think it's only being sold in certain regions right now. Testing the market. I hope it starts being sold everywhere soon.

Guest kissthesharks
On an unrelated note, I once made a spaghetti sandwich with Texas toast.
adamlikesmusic
Omaha, Nebraska, and an area in Rhode Island are test markets for the Double Down Chicken Sandwich... The sandwich has been selling for about three weeks, and "it's doing really well, actually,"... A quick calculation using the nutritional information on KFC's Web site reveals the Double Down Chicken Sandwich to be about 858 calories and 62.4 grams of fat -- about the same amount of calories and more fat than Wendy's 1/3-pound Triple with cheese.
