sgoodcore
Are the major things I'm listening to now and I was wondering if recommendations could be made about other bands I should look through. I know Panda Bear from Animal Collective but haven't gotten a chance to listen.

casey
The Dodos. Yep. Although I liked Visiter better than their new one. Also, Swan Lake--Beast Moans Handsome Furs--Plague Park MGMT--Oracular Spectacular
scottheisel
Passion Pit is basically a more danceable version of Animal Collective. Their new record, Manners, rules.

scottheisel
Passion Pit is basically a more danceable version of Animal Collective. lol wut? You can't hear it? I dunno, it was the first thing that jumped to my mind when I heard Passion Pit. It took the pop elements of the latest Animal Collective record and dropped all the hippy-dippy bullshit. This is basically what I listen to now so if you want to know about some albums or tracks just ask me. Flicker too, he knows what's good. sgoodcore
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart sound like a Smiths cover-band, I don't know, every song I listened to sounded the same. I'm not really in their camp yet.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
I enjoy friendly fires, but that's about all from this.

kidamnesiac
Atlas Sound. Bradford Cox of Deerhunter's solo project. So damn good. Especially the new record, Logos. Walkabout is the best new song I've heard in a long while. And it features Noah Lennox (Panda) of Animal Collective! Also everything Kirby, Flicker, and Adrian have posted is backed. Mexican Summer only did a preorder for 50 and thats long gone dude i totally saw it up, thought "i'll preorder this evening" and it was gone. I'm sure the closer we get to the release date, the more opportunities there will be to buy it. It's great ep, albeit short (17 minutes). Also the way the songs end sound very...amateur? The songs are great but it's like he just pressed stop and they end abruptly. Also I had high hopes for the new atlas sound. Walkabout is such a great song, but the rest of the album felt very...slow and whispery. Though i only listened to it once. Should probably listen to it more than 10 times to fully review it. Also I recommend the smith westerns.
