I know Panda Bear from Animal Collective but haven't gotten a chance to listen.

You can't hear it? I dunno, it was the first thing that jumped to my mind when I heard Passion Pit. It took the pop elements of the latest Animal Collective record and dropped all the hippy-dippy bullshit.

check out Fergus & Geronimo. Such a great band from the great state of Texas. They have 3 7"s out, all solid and backed.

Atlas Sound. Bradford Cox of Deerhunter's solo project. So damn good. Especially the new record, Logos. Walkabout is the best new song I've heard in a long while. And it features Noah Lennox (Panda) of Animal Collective! Also everything Kirby, Flicker, and Adrian have posted is backed.

dude i totally saw it up, thought "i'll preorder this evening" and it was gone. I'm sure the closer we get to the release date, the more opportunities there will be to buy it. It's great ep, albeit short (17 minutes). Also the way the songs end sound very...amateur? The songs are great but it's like he just pressed stop and they end abruptly.

Also I had high hopes for the new atlas sound. Walkabout is such a great song, but the rest of the album felt very...slow and whispery. Though i only listened to it once. Should probably listen to it more than 10 times to fully review it.

Also I recommend the smith westerns.
