next music "trend"

was ska punk ever really that big? i lived over seas when it happened, so i have no idea if it was huge.

also next trend. Fake problems-ish band

Ska was HUGE in '96-'98. And it's totally making a comeback now, too -- that Less Than Jake/Reel Big Fish tour recently played the Congress Theatre in Chicago and I believe it was sold out -- that's over 3000 people!

and the bosstones reunion is happening. i have heard confirmations from many unrelated sources :)

You have made my night...hell...my weekend...fuck that...my month...

I told myself that if the Bosstones reunited, I will trave to Boston for this...I go at least once a year anyways...and btw, trying to make the trip for the ISIS shows at the Middle East in Nov.

id be cool with ska/punk revival once more but i dont see that happening. at least over here it seems unlikely, people are still tired of ska after the huge oc ska phase from the 90s. the only ska bands that draw out here are rbf and streetlight. even the less than jake shows have undersold as of late. big d, mustard plug, buck o nine, etc dont do too well over here.
