celebdeath
Hey guys! The final newsletter of 2009, can you believe it??? December is always such a magical month. A time for reconnecting with those that we may have lost touch with throughout the first 11 months of the year. Even though, more often than not, last December we promised eachother it wouldn't happen this year =) But it happens and it's always understood and we cherish the moments we do have together while we have them. There's something special about that, and even if it takes annual holidays to make us remember just exactly how much we have missed eachother, that doesn't lessen the amount of love we share. Aside from the toys, that is the best part about December =) The cold outside, the warm inside, the food, the "beverages", the snow, the lights, the trees, the music, the video games, the traveling, the fellowship, the hugs, and the laughter. Try and remember going into this holiday season that these moments in your life are few and far between and that the older you get, the more it becomes your responsibility to ensure that these moments happen at all. We need to take advantage of these times and embrace this togetherness that life often lacks. And besides, try as we might to replicate this communion throughout the rest of the year, there's just something special about this month that effortlessly connects people. So bask in it, bathe in it, and soak it up as much as possible - it could be a long time before it happens again. Happy Holidays to everyone, now lets get on with the December newsletter!! WELCOME ANGEL EYES TO THE MYLENE SHEATH FAMILY!! Big news! Big news! We've been dying to spit this out =) We're beyond stoked to announce that we'll be working with Chicago-based badasses in "Angel Eyes" to get their next full length out to everyone! It's an honor for us to finally get to collaborate with them because we've always wanted to, going back to the very, very beginning of the label. The next full length is still untitled, but recording is currently commencing in Chicago at Electrical Audio with Greg Norman and is due out in spring '10. More details on this release as things progress. Peep their website HERE.You can also purchase their newest release (put out by exquisite Italian label, Concubine Records this year), a split 12" with German spazzers "A Fine Boat, That Coffin!" through our distro HERE. More info on all this soon =) Boo-yah!! JUNIUS PREORDER UPDATE A quick update to all of you that preordered the new Junius album, "The Martyrdom of a Catstrophist" on vinyl. The corrected LP's are finally en route to headquarters right now and should probably be here on Monday. We'll be spending the following few days after that packing up all the preorders and getting them shipped out to you. They should all be shipped out by the middle of next week. Again, we just want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding throughout the preorder - it means very much to us =) For those of you that have not placed an order for the album - you can do so HERE. We still have a few left on both mailorder colors and they're both limited to just 100 copies. Scoop 'em!! If anyone has any questions regarding their order or needs to update their shipping address within the next few days, please just reply to this email and let us know =) The band has just returned from their European tour and will be playing two album release shows this month. The first in Boston, MA on Decemeber 11th with Irepress and Tombs. We'll be at this show, so if you're going to be there, please come up and say hi =) The band will be heading down to NYC the next day on December 12th for what is sure to be an amazing show with Irepress, Tombs and Rosetta. CASPIAN TIDBITS! So, as many of you know, we'll be reissuing two landmark albums by our brothers in Caspian. 2005's debut ep You Are The Conductor and 2007's debut full length The Four Trees. We'll be getting these CD's out the door in early '10 with a special surprise in store for the vinyl reissues to follow just a little later on, more on that in due time =) Speaking of Caspian vinyl, The Four Trees 2xLP is now out of print and only available through the band at shows. So get out there and see them if you need a copy!! There will be many opportunities in 2010, starting in January with a string of dates across the northeast with Sainthood Reps. Full dates are listed below in the "shows" section for that tour. Then the band will be hunkering down for a full US tour from late February clear into April with the magnificent Arms & Sleepers. It's sure to be glorious!! We do still have a few copies of You Are The Conductor in the webstore and they, like everything else, are on sale for the rest of December - and read below for details on the December vinyl sale! So to all the message board peeps, if there's any of you that have anything that you'd like to submit, we will include it on a first come, first serve type of basis over the next two weeks. If you're not a member of the message board, you should sign up - it just takes a couple seconds =) You can join up HERE, then submit whatever you want for inclusion in the next zine =) We're specifically looking for a couple columnists that would like to write observational pieces about current issues in any capacity, we'd like some drawings & sketches, some photographs (hi-res), and also we'd like to get some interviews if any of you have recently conducted any. But we'll definitely include other pieces as well, whatever their creative definition might be =) Please email all submissions to [email protected] and in that email also include what username you go by on the message board. Anyways, after a couple more weeks go by, we've got to close the book and begin organizing it into a cohesive, magnificent, stunning work of art =) Or, at the very least, try and make it readable =) So please, if you've got anything you'd like to include, send it ASAP. If we end up with too many, we'll get your in the following issue for sure! Anyone interested in procuring a copy of the first issue (can do so for dirt cheap in the store) they're also free with every order. Let's do it! LAST NIGHT ON EARTH!!!
