I had to refresh the Cityandcolour.com/store page a few times and go back to my cart, but it finally went through. -

Welp, I had the pre-order in my cart, got directed to Paypal to pay, then it timed out. Shit. -

New City and Colour song "Of Space and Time"
drewshannon replied to justindinealone's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Admittedly not my favorite C&C song ever (he's probably my favorite artist), but I'm liking it more and more with each listen. Stoked for the album. -
I can't say enough good things about Generation Records. One of my favorite shops ever for new stuff.

Six months after arriving to LA and discovering that my record player had been broken in transit, I'm finally back in the game after picking up a basic Sony PS-LX300 turntable today. My records have been staring at me from the shelf, so I'm happy to have a way to play them again.

I haven't been following that carefully, but has there been any news on the TDAA release? One of my favorite albums ever, but I'm extremely wary of ordering from this label. -
For the many people that question cassette tapes

The idea of cassettes coming back sounds like it'd be something out of Portandia. Looks like a cool documentary though. -
Best/Worst Customer Service from a Distro/Label?

For the most part, my experiences with InSound have been great. The only annoying thing is that sometimes they'll tell you that an item is backordered AFTER you place the order, so if you're in a rush, maybe ask them ahead of time. That said, they're cool and let local New Yorkers come to their warehouse / office to pick up records to save on time / shipping costs. -
Thrice - The Alchemy Index

Yep, mine came with 2 Earths. Damn, this is going for $200+?? Maybe now's a good time to unload it. -
Bruce Willis - Under The Boardwalk 7" Yep.

PO: Moving Mountains - Waves

I just got mine yesterday from Insound, and it's Orange. -
Received my black copy from Insound today. Pretty bare-bones packaging, but it came with a full CD of the album (no download card). First run-through, and there's some skipping on "I Am Disappeared", but I can't verify whether my player is just dusty or something (I was having trouble with another record last weekend). EDIT: Nevermind, looks like it was just dust.

Recommended record shops in Manhattan, NY?
drewshannon replied to pukebileforever's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
My favorites are: Other Music (indie rock) Bleecker St. Records (Good place for new vinyl, a bunch of different genres) Generation Records (punk / metal / hardcore, as far as I can tell) -
Thanks for ordering a copy! As for the sleeve, it was more cost-effective for this small of a run to not do a full sleeve—but I think the printing on the inside turned out really nice! No worries, totally understandable! Wasn't bitching you out or anything, just making an observation. For $13, I'm certainly in no position to complain.

I'd buy The Everglow on vinyl in a heartbeat.
