Guest kingbuzzo
Looks like I might be buying another issue of AP, I think it'll be my 3rd since my subscription ended. I really like the oral history columns.
sgoodcore
Whoa! upon second look I noticed the Exclusive Hot Water Music Reunite! My interest is peaked. Wonder if that's about the Till the Wheels Come Off release or an actual reunion.

chiefwahoo
The HWM thing would have to be too good to be true. I'm interested for that article nonetheless. When's that hitting mailboxes?
kirbypuckett
I'm at work, I can't see the image...someone repost or just post a link to it, I can use my password to get past the filters that way. But as is, I just see [image]
kirbypuckett
nvm, I got it. Why are the subscriber only covers always worse?! Also, the new Say Anything is balls.
chiefwahoo
It's the two covers of the new issue of AP with Say Anything on the cover. There's a blurb at the bottom that says EXCLUSIVE: HOT WATER MUSIC REUNITE!
steventangent
Scott DID say he was sitting on some kinda big news...
mrc
unimpressed with the cover.
scottheisel
Scott DID say he was sitting on some kinda big news... ...and that would definitely be it. Being "in the know" isn't nearly as fun as you'd think it is, because you can't tell anyone else what you know. It sucks!
benchwarmer
man, want to know what the HWM news is. also, agree with kirby partially, the first dics of the new say anything is good, the 2nd is bore-tastic

kirbypuckett
I don't like when the Oral Histories are of bands that are still together. Regardless, that's my favorite part about AP. AP should release a book of all the oral histories along with maybe a CD featuring a track or two from the bands. I'd buy 5,000 copies. sgoodcore
That's rad about the HWM reunion. Maybe I'll actually get to see them this time. I only saw them once but it was awesome. It was in LA so Skiba was there. So cool to have him come out and sing on Rooftops. Then HWM covered Radio on top of it. Ahh good drunken times. cadetapplesauce
ok i've only been reading AP for the past 3 (possibly even 4) years or so, and i dont know if it's always been this way, but when i flip through the pages of the cover article, and see pictures of each band member with their name under it, i can't help but feel like i'm reading tiger beat or something. and now fold out posters?? i know about AP wallpaper. not to diss AP, all respect to you, scott, but fold out posters?? I still read AP mostly because it's so cheap. But I don't know the majority of the spotlighted bands anymore. I used to wish they would put a little blurb stating the names of the people in the band. Just the typical "L to R: so and so", etc. But I agree, the times that they do put the names, it's usually just the first name next to a head shot and it's very Tiger Beat
flood
ap needs to do more of the top ten lists... especially more obscure ones..always the first thing read every month in it. The oral histories are usually well done too. altho scott you guys need to be more evil, you wield such influential power over the braindead masses.. you guys need to conduct experiments.. like how big can we make some random band from the middle of nowhere... just to see really how amazing we are you guys could be the pitchfork for people without sticks up their asses altho i kinda get the feeling you're already doing that with Big D... as there seems to always be at least 5 mentions of them in every issue
