Mine may have to be (although not punk) a mint Miles Davis Kind of Blue for $1.

I don't have any Otis Redding on vinyl. I've got one of his cd's though. I also have Bitches Brew ($15).

Any midwesterners here? Anyone ever heard of the Exclusive Company? It's a decent record shop that carries indie cd's and vinyl. They used to have (may still) full length brand new albums for only $6.99. That's crazy!

I passed up Tomahawk's first album there. My dumb ass.

I scored an American Nightmare Bloodsplatter lp out of 3 due to a terrible ebay listing. 100 of the bloodsplatter/ X lps were made. only 3 were made with a 5 arm star pattern.

There are not many decent record shops here in south florida where I live...so most of my stuff has been obtained online...the best deal that comes to mind was Coheed & Cambria 'In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3' 2x12" clear (both 12") for $15.00 'Buy It Now' on eBay...this was about a year or so ago...it was by mere chance that I stumbled upon that one.

I picked up my HWM- Fuel for the Hate Game first press (half black, half white /50) for dirt cheap because the seller didn't post pictures or pressing info. He just listed it in a lot of 4 other records and listed the color.

some of the better store finds that ive been stoked on. always the best way to find things. overspending on ebay = weaksauce. get out and search and you'll find some gems over time. all just takes some effort. so much more fun to me and this is what "collecting" is to me. all of these were found after they were out of print and going for stupid amounts on ebay.

ive had many many good finds but my all time favorite was a test press of the RAMONES-END OF THE CENTURY lp which was phil spector's copy(with his name on it, addressed to him) for $10. no joke.

for $5 I got jawbreaker - busy 1st press, red vinyl, mailorder version numbered out of 150

the tempters- 5-1=0 original LP for .50 at the goodwill, haven't seen one listed in years but I believe it ebays for around $100

some old bay area comp 7" with AFI on it for $1, sold it for $50

I got it and the European press of "witness" by MLIW on clear/black splatter from an ebay auction with a really bad listing.
