There were two different types of cartoons; Saturday morning cartoons and after school cartoons.

Saturday morning favorites:

G-Force

Voltron (with the lions not the lame car bullshit one)

Super Friends

Dragon's Lair

Afternoon favorites:

He-man

GI Joe

Transformers

Count Duckula

I HATED MUPPET BABIES! Fuck that cartoon.

Haha, funny this thread shows up right after I finish downloading TMNT. I'm hunting down all the decent cartoons from my time so my kid isn't stuck with all these lame card battle cartoons. My faves:

TMNT

Transformers (have the entire Rhinovision DVD set)

Thundercats

M.A.S.K.

Bravestarr

He-Man

Muppet Babies > Count Duckula. That show was Godawful. You are the FIRST person I've heard that actually enjoyed it.

All I can really do is echo what everyone else has said. I was a huge G.I. Joe and He-Man fan... loved the X-Men animated series, and watched all the Saturday morning & USA Cartoon Express cartoons religiously.

Anyone remember "Pryde of the X-Men"? It was a very short lived X-Men cartoon that came on in '89, and it was pretty awesome, but so weird. Wolverine was Australian for some reason.
