Here's a bunch for you to try out as yr funds allow:

Germs - (GI)

Husker Du - Zen Arcade

Minutemen - Double Nickles on the Dime or Buzz or Howl or The Punch Line

Descendents - Milo Goes to College

Circle Jerks - Group Sex

Adolescents - LP (the blue album)

Suicidal Tendencies LP (the first one and only one you need, on frontier)

Damned - Damned x3 or Machine Gun Ettiquitte

Government Issue - Joyride

Avengers - LP

Youth Brigade - Sound and Fury

JFA - Valley of the Yakes

Misfits - Walk Among Us

Bad Brains - Rock for Light (but only the original mix on PVC records, avoid that caroline remixed one like the plague)

Naked Raygun - Throb Throb

Squirrel Bait - Skag Heaven

Christian Death - Only Theatre of Pain

Agent Orange - Living in Darkness

Subhumans (UK) - EP LP

Minor Threat - Out of Step and the 12" with the 7"s compiled on it

Dead Boys - Young Loud and Snotty

Black Flag - Everything Went Black and Damaged

DRI - Dirty Rotten LP

Dr Know - Plug in Jesus

That should keep you busy for quite a few paychecks. If you lived in my town you could just come over and listen to all of mine.

Bad Religion - early albums

NOFX - early albums but not the first one

Misfits - early 70s stuff

Operation Ivy - Energy

Buzzcocks - Singles going steady

Ramones - early albums

Descendents - Milo Goes to College

Clash - early albums

Sex Pistols - Never mind the bollocks

Motorhead albums but they are also very metal

Rancid - Let's Go & Out Comes The Wolves

It looks a lot like the other's lists but they ARE classics and you can't go wrong there!

They changed their name for the third album after Ron Asheton switched to bass and James Williamson assumed the role of sole guitar player and songwriter. They wouldn't have been "the Stooges" at all had David Bowie found suitable replacements for the Asheton brothers in London.

My dads band The Eat woud be a pretty good band to check out, besides being my dads band, they are considered one of the first punk bands outta miami and really good . They put out a discography of sorts on Alternative Tentacles, not sure if its stil in print or not, but pretty good stuff.
