littlejonnyhormone
When I go down to Florida, I never get why 18 packs are the biggest I can find. 30-packs/30-racks are a standard up here.
iliketohangout
I wish we had 30 packs..
littlejonnyhormone
You can get two 18-packs of High Life down there for like 17 bucks though. Shit is so cheap.
adamlikesmusic
I had no idea 30 packs were regional. That's weird.
patron
Yeah, I've seen 6, 12, and 24. Actually, a microbrewer around here just started doing a 25, but I've never heard/seen that before. Everyonce in a while you hear stories of an octogonal 55 pack, but you have to drive to Quebec for that. Also, you have to drink Bud or Coors Light. Pass on both accounts. How much do you guys pay for a 30? The cheapest a 24 is legally allowed to be up here is $28.
circlingvultures
30 pack of PBR in Buffalo is less than $20 after tax and deposit.
Guest
A 30 pack of Hamm's costs about 15 bucks. Best deal ever.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
I was at a bar in wisconsin and they had buckets of beer where it was 5 beers for 6 bucks. The choices were Hamm's, Milwaukee's Best, Keystone Original, Blatz, and Milwaukee's Best Light.
goraiders
You can get 30s of keystone or milwaukees here for 13.50 or so on sale

mcm1610
I don't go the thirty route much anymore, but about 3 years ago, a 30 of Keystone was $13.57 with tax and deposit at the one Corner Store we went to. It's probably $13.99+tax+deposit now. I usually go with 28-packs of Labatt Blue Light bottles now - usually about $24 bucks.
mygreatdevastator
Best deal ever: Blanchards in Allston, by my practice space, sell 18 pack bottles of high life for 9.99. That is 36 bottles of beer for 20 bucks. Weds and Sundays are fun.
mcm1610
Actually, I've been loving $2.99 4-packs of Busch tall boys when Wilson Farms throws them on sale. Sometimes I'll splurge and go for the $3.99 Blue Light tall boys instead.
goraiders
what is deposit?
patron
what is deposit? When you return the cans/bottles you get your deposit back.
circlingvultures
I have never heard of Hamm's
mcm1610
what is deposit? In many states, especially the Northeast, you pay 5c (10 in MI I believe) that you get back upon returning the can. It's a lazy-tax, or a donation to homeless people, unless you take them back.Me? I hoard cans. I made a killing in college because I wasn't from Long Island and didn't think returning cans was below me.

patron
For the record, Blue Jays killed the Red Sox, and I just crotched a flask full of whiskey and wasted frisked at all. People who pay to sneak stuff in are schmucks.
mcm1610
I don't think 8-5 is a killing. I think 14-2 or whatever yesterday's game was is a killing.
dutchrudder
The other week I got a 30 pack of PBR Light for $11.
