flood
Let It Be as a thank you for years of good music.Do you approve Y/N. also totally approve... Tom has been totally awesome to me over the years, playing a benefit show for a friend of mine, letting one of my band's horn sections perform with them on warped tour, and he's sent me a ton of records. He catches alot of shit from people that set him up as a savior to punk rock, and thats pretty shitty to expect from anyone
blueprintforjoy
In the same grade as both of them. Was in Scouts with Saviet and his brothers. that's good shit man. we should do some trading or something eventually since we're so close to each other. nicole
I think that was a rad thing for you to do. Sure he has money and blah blah blah but as a fan you wanted to do something nice for him and you did.
lokithelion
not since they made white crosses really? white crosses is fantastic.
philviral
I'm surprised how many people like White Crosses. I can barely force myself to listen to the whole thing. I've given it about 5 listens... want to love it, long time AM! fan, have seen them many times, but just can't get into that album.
dynamitekid
Agree with this guy. I listened to it once and never listened to it again. Awful.
blueprintforjoy
i'm surprised people agree. everyone i talked to loved it and it seemed i was the only one who couldn't get into it.
nicole
i think half of it is awesome and half of it sucks. so its alright i guess.
lifebystereo
i think half of it is awesome and half of it sucks. so its alright i guess. I agree -there are definitely a handful of songs I enjoy, but the rest are completely boring. I wish it was either side A or side B that I liked and not a mish-mash, haha. idlehero
considering the bastards of young cover, i'd say its a safe bet he has these records already.
imaxcowboyx
I listened to it once and never listened to it again. Awful. same here. i wonder how many times this can get re-quoted, haha
djones0930
same here. i wonder how many times this can get re-quoted, haha Actually, I didn't mind the album, but I'm just quoting this shit to keep it going.
goraiders
I don't understand how people think White Crosses is awful. Granted its not their best, but its far from terrible. There are some great songs.
imaxcowboyx
also, didnt know about the 'Bastards of Young' cover until idlehero mentioned it. i can't get behind that either; That cover actually showcases a time when Against Me! didn't sound like the Replacements strangely enough, but I can't put my finger on exacly why... its too clean, too Tom Gabel-y, and too "the listener is a 'Mats fan and is being nitpicky"-y i suppose, ha. Either way, I guess I'll just stick to a bit of new wave, and everything prior to it.

hankmurphy
Is he still trying to cater to punks while playing sold-out stadiums? You should have sent him your left ear, or if you like White Crosses maybe you should have sent him both your ears.

thisisahiijack
I wouldn't even mail a free record to Paul Westerberg* *this is not entirely true, but at least it wouldn't be something really expensive
thisisahiijack
**unless i released it/was on it and it was directly influenced by the 'Mats
