david
The only anime I've ever liked is Fooly Cooly, and it is fucking amazing. I didn't see this in the thread anywhere, is anyone else into this show?
Guest eriathomas
I love FLCL. My old avatar was from FLCL, but it got all fucked up on the server, and I never replace it.
murakami
FLCL is pretty solid, but i have only seen it once sadly
Fartcat
Used to watch alot back in the day, but all I really still have in my DVD collection is Dragon Ball (Z and GT included) and Neon Genesis Evangelion, my all time favorite.
inutil
Evangelion is awesome, and the new movies are just mind blowing. Champloo and Bebop are masterpieces from the master Shinichiro Watanabe! Serial Experiments Lain is also quite good. Ghost in the Shell and Akira are already classics. FLCL is so good too. Samurai 7 is also good, though i never watched it til the end. Sword of the Stranger is nice, and so is Tokyo Godfathers and Tekkonkinkreet. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is sweet, and has some solid animation. Kaiba is awesome!!!!! There are so many more but i'll stop now...
Fartcat
I'll always love Dragon Ball. I read the manga in like grade 6 all the way through and then watched the anime. I just love the mixture of fighting and comedy.
miso
I don't have anything new, per se, but I have tons of old VHS tapes from Animeigo and others. Bubblegum Crisis, Dirty Pair, etc. The old stuff is great. Just watched Perfect Blue last week. Trying to find a copy of Blue Seed that's somewhat affordable. Fartcat
Perfect Blue was the first anime movie I saw when I was 12. Wow.

Fartcat
The first anime movie I saw was Ninja Scroll. Haha what a great place to start, nothing says awesome like people getting sliced in half.
murakami
what really got me into anime was the Rurouni Kenshin reruns on Cartoon Network when i was in college. Seeing Eva sealed the deal shortly after anthemforadoomed
miso
Haha what a great place to start, nothing says awesome like people getting sliced in half. The second one I watched was Fist of the North Star! If that says anything about me.

hankmurphy
FLCL and Akira were my longtime favorites, but I recently saw Tekkon Kinkreet and that shit blew me away. TheGhostOfRandySavage

anthemforadoomed
Like a lot of people my favorite animes are (in no particular order): Cowboy Bebop Inuyasha Rurouni Kenshin/ Samurai X Yu Yu Hakusho Pokemon (classic) Sword Art Online (the Japanese version is way better) Dragon Ball Z/ Dragon Ball Stuff I'm watching right now: Last Exile Umineko Robotics Notes Spice and Wolf Psycho Pass About to start Attack on Titan and I have to watch Akira
jared
I think everyone here needs to see the new Berserk movies. Get passed the overuse of CG and it's pretty cool. They actually finish up the arc that the original series just cut off on. Also if you into stuff that is majorly overblown, illogical and just fucking cool, watch Gurren Lagaan. Looking forward to getting Akira on blu ray next month.
Guest
Sword Art Online (the Japanese version is way better) They made an American version, or do you just mean the English dub sucks?
Rip
All-time favorites are: Yu Yu Hakusho Naruto/Naruto Shippuden Cowboy Bebop Dragonball Z Speed Grapher Attack On Titan Deadman Wonderland The last 2 aren't technically finished, but I'll be damned if they aren't amazing so far. I'm also about half-way through Blood Lad (which also apparently isn't finished), and it's fantastic.
jared
I think anyone who has seen Attack On Titan can literally say that it is epic. Especially those very dramatic scenes that there seem to be so many of, haha.
