mcm1610
I find Yuengling overrated. Sure, it's a good beer, but so many people rave about it like it's the best beer ever produced, and I think that's a little over the top.
scottheisel
i'm a big fan of imports. I've had good experiences with the few that I have tried. I'm just afraid of paying for it and not liking it, but reading these posts has given me some good insight on a few to try. thanks everyone Do you have a Winking Lizard near you? They have The World Tour of Beers, lots of great imported stuff on the menu! I'm pretty sure Winking Lizards are only in Northeast Ohio... scottheisel
Yeah, it's a great place (and I don't even drink). Great food, nice atmosphere, I watched the Super Bowl there last year: http://www.winkinglizard.com/
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
has any of those Yuengling fans had their Pale ale? I like it and it's called Lord Chesterfield which is a cool name. awful awful awful.
Guest scriptedrain
As someone who hasn't ventured out past the standard American beers (other than a couple selections from Molson and Labatt), where would you recommend I start venturing out? I'm more interested in good taste and something that's mildly / widely available.

monk0nuggets
Newcastle Brown Ale Definitely not bad. I like Heineken. It is one of the few light beers I'm into. But, I would recommend pretty much anything from Sam Adams if you haven't check them all out. I know its still American, but some of it is easier to find than others. akross
Winter or Holiday Porter? Winter. Yummy! I was unaware of a holiday porter, must try this one, too...
kurtz
Sam Adams White Ale is my favorite! Yuengling is also excellent. As far as good cheap beer goes I like Lions Head. It's not really distributed outside of Pennsylvania and New Jersey so if any of you are in those states, give it a try.

dante3000
Got some of this for my groomsmen of my wedding: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/207/645/ Best beer I've had hands down. If it wasn't so expensive I don't know if I'd drink anything else.
