Visiting Boston, what should I do there?

Recommended Posts

if you wanna be touristy, go see the cheers bar.

if you're super hungry and can eat a lot, go to fire and ice.

if you can, drive up the coast a little and go visit newburyport; such a cute little coastal town.

i'm not a local, so i can't make any super awesome local suggestions, sorry!

for the 10th time

the border cafe is 10 times better then fucking fire and ice!!!!!!!!!!

also if you do a bit of searching there's three or four threads on this subject already.

if you want responses you need to state: dates you are visiting, if you like beer, where you are staying

i hate mexican/spicy food, so i doubt i would like eating there. i don't see how an all-you-can-eat make your own everything place can be compared to a normal mexican type restaurant, haha.

yeah backed vitty, throw down shit you like and the dates your going

fire and ice is ok once a year, but its not the place you should run to if you never been in the city

if you like indie films go find the coolidge theatre

if you like to drink and your here on tuesdays, go to the draft in allston and get 5.95 burger/fries/any beer on tap (yes even crafty good ones)

etc etc

get those dates an shit you like

just walk around aimlessly and hit the spots that look interesting. when i went i was in the seaport district. walked to the financial district for a bit, then to the north end for a hour or so, then walked to beacon hill, then to the back bay. its a real nice walk and you get to see the architecture. im from texas so i tend to do things like that while in other cities. i just go and get lost. avoid newbury comics altogether.

i need to go back and have someone actually show me around. hopefully april.
