ohnotherobot
So my buddy got married and for a present I got him a lathe cut 7" vinyl of his (our) band. Best present ever. Check out pics/story here - http://roadtripsandrecords.blogspot.com/2010/11/slow-down-molasses-hazy-summer-days.html Anyway, has anyone else here ever gotten lathe-cut records? They aren't exactly cheap and I am wondering if anyone has used someone that is cheaper than PJ Mansion (http://www.pjmansionvinyl.blogspot.com/). Xmas is coming up and these make awesome one of a kind presents...

daegor
Thanks for sharing this, I'm sure I will do it for my friend's band at some point. And yeah, I'm curious about options as far as where to get it done as well, if anyone else has any experience.

Hot Rod Circuit/Promise Ring Split. mixtapes? pfft. get on my level. edit: thats pretty cheap. i think I paid like $75 because i needed a quick turn around. it's on red vinyl with a big hole. vinyljunkie
Acetate records are the type of records that degrade really quickly after just a handful of plays. Lathe cut records will last just like a standard record.
