rtw88
i dont see how they could catch you for just googling something, or even downloading something from mediafire or rapidshare and what have you. i understand how they catch people with torrents, but i rarely use torrents to download music anymore They can, and the government even wants to make it illegal to google something 'Album Name mediafire'. mcm1610
But how will they know what sites are linking to mediafire downloads if it's illegal for everyone, including them, to google it?!
evvandflow
Music has value. It should be paid for. Fuck off Scott. lol
ihprstl
It is frustrating sometimes seeing music you've released on a torrent site with a good amount of downloads and no sales following. On Kray in the last couple of weeks, The Haddonfields/Jetty Boys 10" was posted and The Haddonfields full length was posted. Both have close to 40 downloads and there are good comments about them, but we've only sold 1 of each in the last 10 days.

elzar
its a tricky subject, the government should mind their own business and let us run free on the internet like little happy hippies...

Plus, you can't download that sweet double-sided Cristy Road cover art!
weck
I download and if I like it, I buy it. If it sucks, I delete it and don't buy it. Now if it is mediocre with 1 good song, I won't buy it but I will usually keep the 1 song I like.

Given the severity of the penalty he can be facing, I find it rather funny just how easy it is to find someone who can mod an Xbox. A friend of mine was interested in it, and he was literally able to shop it around when deciding what to do. Edit - typo

adamlikesmusic
It's worth noting that the case against the Xbox modder was dismissed earlier today. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/xbox-modder-trial-underway-no-plea-bargain-offered/
