fueledbymike
So I have never worn/bought a watch before. I'm student teaching 3rd graders now and am constantly having to see what time it is (and the clock is in a terrible place in the room) So I'm in the market for a watch. I want something... -nicer/classic look -not very big -not to heavy -waterproof -not digital Anyone have any tips? I was looking at Nixon watches and liked this time teller one but its $100 and am looking for something a little cheaper, but similar style (but am always up for new suggestions) or does anyone have a deal with nixon? thanks guys! electricsnow
Dusty got a watch that looks similar to that one. I think it's fossil or something too, which shouldnt be too expensive. EDIT: looked it up and its about 95 bucks on this site, so not that much cheaper. http://www.watchesretailer.com/ViewProducts.asp?idproduct=453057636

hudsoncomplex
Looks like another "Deal of the day" place http://www.jomashop.com/haurex-italy-watch-7a354ubb.html I recently bought a Bulova Marine Star watch, and it rules since it's self winding... hipsterasfolk
My most recent Watch purchase is my Burberry BU1350. But moving on, have you thought to check maybe a discount store such as Marshalls or TJ MaxXx?? I've seen some discounted Kenneth Cole and other watches similar to the one you are looking at! Hope that helps

lonesomexloveus
you guys should check out www.plndr.com and www.jackthreads.com they have designer stuff for cheap, and one of those sites gets cool watches (nixon being one brand i remember in particular) relatively frequently. appletree
my dad has an old vintage one that is really nice and slick looking. i think he paid about the same as a standard rolex submariner or whatever (im not a watch guy but yeah i know it was "reasonable" i mean if you are into nice watches that is) ps: i resized the image cause it was huge. pps: i second jackthreads if you are looking for a more trendy watch. psps: personally if i was to buy a watch i would just want a traditional looking nice smaller sized watch with a nice leather band or something. i just could never see myself wearing a metal band watch or trendy watch. idk just was never for me although none would match with vans, jeans and a tshirt (plus a big watch on a 135lb person looks weird to me), so i would just wear it when i dress nice or something. roadmonkey
I have a skagen Titanium with Mesh and a Blue face. It's nice subtle and classy looking. A little pricey at $130 but I think Amazon may have them for like under $100 http://www.skagen.com/item/233LTMN.fx
