almightyseancore
someone is selling a dead weather 7" on ebay, that has a sealed label. as in, there is a dotted line where you can poke out the big hole for it to be played. i've never seen anything like this before. does third man do this with all their records? catalinacaper
Third Man does a lot of gimicky stuff like this with their records, a la the "double decker" record they made a while back, so this wouldn't surprise me. If it's real, then it is most likely unique to that particular 7''.
gabpower
Is it just the paper label that's over the hole or the whole center can be removed with the vinyl like that ? :
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Like this? If so, this was much more common when people had jukeboxes.
harby
Like the RFTC "Cut Carefully and Play Loud" EP?
almightyseancore
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dead-Weather-bizarro-third-man-jack-white-hang-you-/150591448743?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8547772864219691730 the auction is at like $400. i've seen lots of dead weather singles go for crazy on ebay. i'm not a huge fan of them, but i can only assume their records give you magical powers or something. surfingelectrode
It's the limited 'bizarro' release. They're basically not meant to be played.

shenanigans
haha. if you cut it out to actually play it then its not worth anything anymore
tre
thats dumb. If it's a record, listen to it.
gabpower
I don't get how they made that possible. If I remember right, they need a center pin while making a record to make sure everything is aligned. I might be wrong so someone who knows more about the process could maybe explain how they made that.

I'd be interested to know if the music itself plays backwards.

dreamover
The bizarros had holes. That must not have gotten punched out. With the hole it's already worth a ton of cash. Without, geez...
