dreamover
Apparently this is now available with gatefold jacket on 180 gram vinyl. (instead of the picture disc).

kidamnesiac
Is the mastering less "blow-your-eardrums-out" loud on the vinyl version? I like this album but it is literally the loudest brickwalled mess I've ever heard.

itmustbereal
"the loudest brickwalled mess" is exactly what they were going for in the first place.

240jw
Saw them in Miami last week, they put on a sick show. If it's remastered that's good news, but I'm not spending $20 to re-buy this.

cesar11
does anyone have a picture of the picture disc?
itmustbereal
The picture disc isnt anything special, its just a picture of the cover/back of the album artwork.
deafmx
Man this band blows just saw them with CSS and was not impressed. i want Poison The Well back. CSS did a good job on the crowd but the tools went NUTS for Sleigh Bells. i don't really understand it. i was there just to see CSS and multiple people have told me how awesome Sleigh Bells are. this record was $20 at their show. their show sounds just as blown out as you're all describing so i'm sure that's their whole sound. meh. not impressive to watch a guy player guitar and a girl sing the whole time over some big beats. get a keyboard player and drummer at least. i would rather see The Kills again, so much better. brammyg
I agree with a bunch of you, don't get the hype around this band. I get that they were going for an overblown/loud sound, but I can't figure out why any band would CHOOSE to do that. I'm seeing them at Bonnaroo soon, I guess I'll postpone my ultimate judgement until then.
markalark17
I got this for a friend's birthday. I checked out the packaging, it's pretty sick. If you like the album, I'd get this pressing over the picture disc to be honest. Gatefold jacket, excellent quality vinyl, and a notebook with hand-written lyrics. I have the picture disc, and it's pretty awesome too, though. It's a weather map-type thing of southern Florida. At least that's what it looks like.
