thieves
i'm a big fan of the aluminum ones because they tend to fit nice and tight

sharkticon
most record stores will have these just laying around, if not for sale for like $0.25-.

cactusbot
I recently noticed that United is pressing 10"/12" records with large center holes. Anyone have any records like that?
scottheisel
I think the new Interpol LP came with the centers drilled out.

cactusbot
What's the point? No point now other than novelty. They used to do it so they could fit into jukeboxes.
smailtronic
I think the new Interpol LP came with the centers drilled out. Yep. I believe a Third Man LP or two came like this as well.
mattyf
You're really better off to grab one of the bigger adapters that sits on the turntable platter, rather than the ones that attach to the record itself. If you have only one large-hole 7" it's not so big a deal, but I'm a collector of early garage in particular, and other types of 50s and 60s singles, so I have upwards of 200 large-hole 7"s I think. That would mean I'd have to buy just as many of the little adapters to stuff in to each one, rather than a single turntable mounted one. Also, if the record is stored in a picture sleeve, the adapters in the record wears out the sleeve a bit over time.
mindovermatter
Brent - you should get an LP pressed with the large hole from United. Then your hole can feel "enlarged" as well when you're done. They won't even call you afterwards.
cactusbot
Haha. I won't ever used United to press records. Who do you think I am? Jack White?
thieves
i tried to put an LP in our 7" hole puncher but it wouldn't fit
