hipfunkrock34
I was a fan of Winehouse's music before she died but I never purchased anything of hers on vinyl. Anyone have Back to Black or Frank on vinyl? How is the quality? I see its only $13 on amazon right now, just wondering if its worth the purchase or if its just another shitty pressing
roadmonkey
who cares... get it, listen to it, if it sounds good keep it if not sell it. With her death, I'm sure it won't stay $13 for long

someasiandude
The albums are already starting to sell for a crap ton on Ebay and the Amazon marketplace is starting to go up for her albums so you better jump on it quick.
raidenradio
Christ that's sad. I remember whenever a musician died people would flock to the record store to buy their music. Why would you suddenly appreciate them now that they're dead? Appreciate them while they're alive instead of sending money to the recipients in their will. thieves
i think it's actually kinda cool that artists get a big album sales jump when they die, it seems like a good way to pay respect to the art

But now it reminds me of the Van Gogh episode of Doctor Who.
mxv
The false inflation of the prices of her records will die down once people move on and stop giving a shit that she died which will be in a few weeks. People did the same thing when Michael Jackson died, they suddenly started trying to get big money for Thriller despite the fact that there were MILLIONS of them made and in every used bin across the world. andrewlucas
Does anyone have the first pressing for sale? I like the cover better. haha. I bought the $13 vinyl from amazon, and even with amazon prime 2 day shipping it says it wont be here until august 8th. i bought incubus - monuments and melodies too and that says it will be here thursday. they must be pretty backed up with orders. mcm1610
Regarding the death-->bump in sales bit.. Sometimes people just don't know enough about someone. To be honest, I had no idea Amy Winehouse made music. I had no idea why she was famous at all. I probably won't (definitely won't), but someone like me may DL a song or two and check her out because of the impact of her death, then realize, "shit, I missed the boat on this person!" then go buy an album. catalinacaper
The same thing happened with anything MJ after his death, but now you couldn't give away a copy of Thriller, they're worth less than they were before he died. Supply and demand. ..I say that with the upmost respect for Thriller, great album.
