I would definitely take Malkin off the PP point tonight though, he looked totally disinterested and had trouble keeping the puck in the zone, and when it did get by him he dogged it on the backcheck. Actually if I had my way I'd make him a healthy scratch, but that's just frustration talking.

nope, you cannot take Malkin out at all. you want to completely destroy any hope of him regaining moral and ability, then yes, scratch him or pull him off his line/PP. Unless you completely forgot, the PP was good BECAUSE of him. Players hit ruts, he'll get out of it, and if not, they're already down 3-1, losing tonight means the season is over and he can rest and relax until august. But taking him out is not an option at all.
