almightyseancore
not sure of some of these "needs to be" threads have been jokes or not, but this one isn't. i had no idea saddle creek had not pressed her first two albums til i went to go check the prices. turns out this never happened. i emailed SC and nate replayed saying they had no plans to do this. that bums me out. birdwell
her sister's (Kate Taylor or K.Taylor or maybe Kate Hollingsworth now?) new band with her husband, Taylor Hollingsworth, called Dead Fingers is going to be released on vinyl by Fat Possum Records (i believe)....if that's any consolation? almightyseancore
not really, no. it's nice that SC pressed marias new records, it just seems weird that they never did the first two. 1. because they are amazing albums and 2. because SC presses damn near all their releases. it just leaves me bummed and confused. i can only assume sales were low, then again i can only assume that the sales were low because of lack of vinyl. not many folks care about physically owning cds, or paying for downloads for that matter. i never purchased any of her stuff, but i downloaded all of it. i went to go finally buy the two albums i loved most only to find they werent released on the only format i care to physically own. bah. thousandjulys
the early maria taylor stuff would be great on vinyl. however, i am thankful that azure ray - hold on love, exists on vinyl
anchorclose
Maria Taylor's first couple records are ridiculously underrated. 11:11 especially
deafmx
I bought 11:11 on cd. would rebuy on vinyl definitely, and the album after it.
jipc
I bought 11:11 after reading a review on release. Probably the best album ive ever purchased without hearing anything from the artist before. Ive emailed sc in the past about a vinyl release of MT back cat and they have no plans... ... Booooooo!
