travis
I don't think these are ready yet but I will check on Monday when I'm back in the office i bought one of these yesterday at the MOA kinda pricey, 20.99 for a single lp and the thursday one was 19.99 for a double Yea, aside from them both being exclusive to Hot Topic they really have nothing to do with each other. They are from different labels/distros, WEA and Universal, and WEA is almost always really expensive. Then again the Boys Night Out 2xLP is also from WEA and that one's only a buck more than Dookie. travis
Nope, I havent even seen these in person yet. Im assuming its just translucent green vinyl with the same jackets they have been using on recent pressings.
maintreqd
curious what the labels look like, anyway. doubt they're the same old boring reprise ones that this release mostly has. if anyone picks up a copy, post a pic!
rand0mher0
20.99? Damn. I was considering getting this over the Thursday 2xLP tomorrow when I make my trip there, but at a buck more for one less LP, damn you record companies!! I'll probably grab it anyway, Green Day has always been a classic for me, and especially Dookie. Will post pictures.

circuit bored records
is this from the same master that came out 3 years ago? Yea I assume its the same as the most recent pressing they did of this....just on green vinyl now should probably sound the same as the 180 reissue

maintreqd
Where's PineapplePizza? I'm really curious if he/she saw my post about the possible european pressing that does have an insert. and/or to find out which pressing mine might be, if that isn't it... kramer73
hopefully they'll be online at some point. I only saw one store in WI, and it isn't near me.
chiefwahoo
No insert with any German pressing. do you have a reference for this statement? I ask because I have an original copy from '94 that is black and has Ernie from Sesame Street on the back, and based on what I read at http://greendaydiscography.com/dookie.html i believe it to be the European pressing (assuming this is the German one you speak of?) and it DOES have the lyrics insert. The SKU is 9362-45529-1, which matches what they have listed for "Dookie (LP EU)". I don't know if this website is sanctioned by the band or what but it does seem to be quite complete and i've no real reason to question its accuracy. so basically i'm asking where you heard this because if the pressing i have is not the one they've got listed, i'm curious to find out its origins. I've always assumed it was the German one mentioned on that site. for those not familiar, def check it out - www.greendaydiscography.com. lotta cool info on there. The non-US vinyl pressings on that site do not mention having an insert. Are you reading it wrong or am I? Also, I wouldn't take the site as gospel when it says that the US pink vinyl is the original when it's actually a repress.

maintreqd
hmm this is starting to make my head hurt. all i know is i've got a copy from 94, black vinyl, has an insert, has ernie on the back. would love to know where it's from if it's not the US... not sure if the info is out there or what? There are tons of indicators of which press it is. If it looks like the label in this auction (GEMA/BIEN, etc.) then it's the import. Since you have an insert, it's likely the original U.S. press. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GREEN-DAY-Dookie....i tem4163d49319 Here's the label of the original US press http://www.ebay.com/itm/GREEN-DAY-DOOKIE-VINYL-LP-USED-VG-TO-NEAR-MINT-ORIGINAL-W-ERNIE-BACK-COVER-/251067832907?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3a74cf1a4b

chiefwahoo
They never re-did the jackets of the original press. However, it was very scarce when it came out. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using ProBoards
