taylo234
I'm really liking Oh Love. Would fit perfect on an album in between Warning & American Idiot. I hope there's some faster paced songs, but for the mean time, I'm gonna be jamming this! Hope they release a similar box set with vinyl! Also the three pack preorder info is right here: http://greenday.com/node/8971 Fingers crossed there's one with vinyl
Snaggle Von Swift
Song is whatever.. don't hate it, don't love it. Don't feel comfortable pre-ordering all 3 though.
cymbalism15
Like a Hot Topic pressing maybe? Like maybe a three pack with color-matched artwork?? On the topic of content, I´m just waiting to hear the four-on-the-floor dance song
taylo234
Preorder for all 3 is up: http://preorder.greenday.com/uno-dos-tre-ultimate-box-set.html?intcmp=120723/gday/wbr/hp_sp/s_pr/but/bdy/us/ultimateboxset Really hoping they do something similar with vinyl. I really want the art book & the documentary.
stokd
According to Armstrong, a song on the album, titled "Kill the DJ", would be close to "straight-up dance music" and "four-on-the-floor rhythm" which the band hasnever done before. This sounds promising... I'm cautiously curious about this, because Blink sort of touched on that with Violence and more of a four-on-the-floor beat with Love is Dangerous. The key word here is "cautiously". taylo234
mrnubnub
If you are excited about new Green Day you are objectively wrong and should feel bad about it. konk
daniel
I like some of the old Green Day stuff, never was a huge fan. I've never heard anything by the band that I hated from any era though. That being said, that song was one of the worst fucking songs I've ever heard. Like, really terrible. The lyrics are unbelievably dumb. kadaver
searos
If you are excited about new Green Day you are objectively wrong and should feel bad about it. This is a dumb post especially considering they are changing style. People are free to like what they want. Liking something new does not mean they don't like something old. I am excited but I don't think their new song even touches their old stuff. I am just glad the band is not just stuck into one genre forever even if some people will be butt hurt about it forever. taylo234
What's your guys opinion on this song? I think it kicks ass. Way better then Oh Love
idreamofpunk
To be fair, just about anything is better than Oh Love. I'd even rate stuff from 21st Century Breakdown better than Oh Love, and that's saying something. But yes, this is much better. Not even solely from the style being more like what I prefer to listen to, but it's just... I don't know. It clicked with me, while Oh Love didn't. tittus
I'm sure some green day fans will be excited about this. http://www.punknews.org/article/48334/green-day-compiling-two-decades-of-albums-in-new-box-set
veggiecorecords
Some one needs to tell Green Day's management that nobody gives a shit about CD's any more... also - that new live song rules
hobohunter48
Let Yourself Go sounds pretty good, however Oh Love is a pile of shit.
taylo234
I didn't hate Oh Love that much, it was just a bit repetitive. This song should have been released first IMO.
taylo234
For anyone wondering about the "Kill The DJ" song, here it is:
stokd
Huh. Kill the DJ actually sounds...well, a hell of a lot better than Oh Love, better than 21st Century Breakdown, maybe like something that could have ended up on Shenanigans. Maybe from all 3 albums there will be enough good songs to cobble together 1 good one.
taylo234
I agree Kill The DJ sounds promising. I guess we will find out Tuesday.

I think it's pretty catchy. It's really fun to jam on guitar that's for sure. I can see this getting a lot of hate though.
mattisr1984
2 out of the 3 new songs are awful and the other one is mediocre at best.
badscooter
I thought "Oh Love" was okay, "Let yourself Go" is pretty sweet but my word, "Kill the DJ" is straight up atrocious. Yikes.

'Kill The DJ,' could quite be, the worst song Green Day's ever written.
