almightyseancore
Perfect tips, thanks all for this. The other thing that's worked for me on a reasonably bad warp was resting the record in a really hot, shallow, bath and then taking it out and applying the weight\pressure once the vinyl is heated\pliable. Seems less "wooah" than putting in an oven Never had any issues myself with the labels (coming off, getting soggy etc) if that's a concern. but water and labels don't mix. 3arl
can I use wood instead of glass and can I make pizza at the same time Just put the pizza on top of the glass instead of a book

openupyourskull
May have to try this... had a few 12" singles come to me warped. Didn't pay much for either of them, but it was a bummer nonetheless.
derek123
Exactly how badly was your record warped? I really want to try this with a couple of records, but they are both pretty wavy.
isavedlatin54
I had like one massive warp and another two that were really close together. It completely fixed the big one and made the close ones way less than they were. Basically made the record playable again

themightychew
but water and labels don't mix. Like I said: Never had any issues myself with the labels (coming off, getting soggy etc) if that's a concern. Maybe you've had a different experience, but I've cleaned hundreds upon hundreds of records by immersing them fully in warm soapy water for approx 30-45 seconds. Zero issues. tankerdesk
I had about a 1.5" warp on a record that I placed under a larger book and then I put 3 cans of paint on top of it. A week later the record was fine and I didn't have to stick it in the oven.
themightychew
I didn't have to stick it in the oven. But how did you melt the cheese and crisp up the bass ? This thread is confusing...
topher
New here, but whatevas. I've heard good things about just turning the oven light on, but it depends on how bad the warp is. Got a copy of Floyd's "Meddle" that I need to fix, but I'm really, really, really lazy...
