futures Posted December 1, 2014 Share Posted December 1, 2014 I tried the record a day but I have a small collection so there were too many repeats So now it's just pics of my dog and knitting and records every now and then Your collection is bigger than mine and I was able to complete a record a day challenge. I was going to try to get that asshat op of "VC charity drive" to update his post to this but it got locked before I could even try. So ima leave this here since I spent like a minute on it and sad it won't ever be read. It's called the 1st annual VC "do nice stuff" not really a charity thing Synopsis: Here's the idea, it's Cyber Monday and a lot of us are/have been stocking up on new releases and hot deals (who got an xbox one?? Holla!) so since we are all broke as hell, What if we made a pledge to be cool to someone while just living our daily life? Honestly just being nice to people you may or may not know who may or may not need it How it works From now until Christmas Eve, we each pledge to a do something nice of our choosing. If you wish to participate, post in this thread that you will do/did something nice for someone. It doesn't matter what! Positive karma is positive karma. It can cost nothing. If it does then cool! But if it doesn't who cares? It might be worth more than monetary value to them. It can be as little as opening the door for someone to buying your work neighbor lunch. Making your mom dinner or helping your kid sister with homework. Talk your annoying friend down from texting his cheating ex gf or listen to that random persons small talk. Which person? doesnt matter! Anyone who you feel could use some niceness or just someone you feel like being cool to How will we know the good karma is going to someone? We don't! But it'll be nice to believe every story we read on here is real. I mean we can lie too. How can I get involved? Make a pledge similar to the one I will post below or just tell us what you did. If you see a person that needs something cool be done for them, do it. If you want propose an idea for someone, then I guess that's cool too. What if we pledge to one cause but want to support another? Unlimited Karma people! If you wanna get your niece a present but also thinking about talking to that weird kid in class, do it! My Pledge: I, Chino. Pledge to give some drunk friends a ride to and from the Jaguars game next Sunday and be the designated driver even tho traffic will suck as bad as watching the jags play sober.
