circuit bored records Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 The festival venue was sooo shitty last year I can't go back if it's at the same place.. It was a fucking parking lot that had the worst asphalt job looked like it was done a few days before. Not only did the entire place smell like an asphalt's asshole, but the whole ground was uneven as fuck, gooey clumps of cement had dried in mounds, potholes and unpaved gaps in the ground... and the main part where the pit wasn't even finished being paved and was all dirt and rocks and shit. I was tripping over my feet all weekend. Then I saw some kid get jumped for pushing this chick after the aggrolites and English beat show, which was pretty awesome. jhook Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 I have gone the last two years as well. I am definatly going this year. I agree about last year. It was like walking on quiksand. The other problem was the beer tents on the first night. I waited like 40 minutes to get a drink then I realized I was in Vegas and could drink all night after the show.Haha One of the best things about this is the record stores/distros that set up tents. I have family that gets me dirt cheap rates at the stratosphere and any cash saved is more beer/records/merch/food. Don't mind a long walk but it's good to know these things. If I can make a suggestion it would be to stay on Fremont. All of the club shows are in the area and the outdoor fest is walking distance from the area as well. It saves money for cabs,buses etc etc. Fremont is also super super cheaper than the strip. The casinos/ bars are not "classy" but who cares? I go to get drunk and see good bands.
