MisSigsFan
Releases new album to sound "raw" .......remasters rawest sounding Converge LP I thought Jane Doe was the rawest sounding. Either way, it wasn't their intention to remaster it, like Tre said. It was just so they would actually have a new mother to print from. circuit bored records
This is still available from KRM on gray, in case people are looking to pick it up before the remaster comes out..
amnstypls
Have these been produced yet?
elnombre91
Well last time I checked, the standard black vinyl was available from DW (which I think it hadn't been for a while), so possibly? I am just guessing here, though.
amnstypls
Maybe Tre can confirm it for us. Definitely want to order a copy.
erthan
Have these been produced yet? I bought a copy on black from my local record store a couple weeks ago The owner said it was a new pressing.
tre
I take full responsibility for "leaking" this info early and causing the barrage of questions and dummy comments. If Deathwish wants me on their shitlist, so be it. Ha! You asked for it.
circuit bored records
Wondering if the version on up DW is the "remaster".. Been hankering to listen to this album since I sold my first press months ago when I was short on cash. Guess I might as well just put the order in! :/
ptrsev
The one they have in stock now is the remastered version. I think it sounds better, a bit "sharper" and more "beefy" (I leave to someone in possession of adequate parlance to elaborate). Matrix on the original and repress(es): Matrix on the remastered version: Interestingly (I'm using the term loosely of course) the old bar code is back. Below is the 1st press cover on the left, 2nd press in the middle, and the new pressing on the right:
mcpherson123
Damn... I want to hear this now.

amnstypls
funny, i thought No Heroes sounded the "rawest" That's crazy. No Heroes is by far the most polished and produced sounding as far as I can tell.
mcpherson123
Weird and differing perspectives on what constitutes raw and polished mastering ITT. nothingnatural

amnstypls
Tre, Did the clear variant ever get put up for sale officially? I am having the hardest time finding it... If there are 300 out there, it shouldn't be so damn hard to find. I've only ever seen one for sale, which leads me to believe they might be boxed up in storage somewhere. Any help is greatly appreciated... other than the /1 /4 and /8 variants, that's the only one I am missing, and it's been a two year search. amnstypls
I was even able to acquire a test press with less effort.
elnombre91
I can't imagine how much a YFM test would cost, but damn that'd be nice to have.
amnstypls
I actually got a great deal on it. Under $150 shipped.
FangsAnalSatan
I've never seen people selling Deathwish test presses. I always assumed that Deathwish didn't distribute their test presses.
amnstypls
I had thought that too but I've been able to get ahold of two DW tests (the other being the Narrows 7".)
