dominic252
I have 250 bones to spend on a new receiver or integrated amp. Needs to power my Technics SL-1200 mk2 and a tape deck as well (haven't found one, but I'm looking at a cheap Onkyo on eBay). Will probably get new speakers as well, but my crummy receiver is definitely the weakest link. My speakers aren't the greatest, but I want to replace this first. Thanks! SaviorSelf
Bump your budget up about 50 bucks and you could get a good deal on a yamaha a-s500. I got one for like 325 from onecall with full warranty.
dominic252
Can you tell me anything on the Onkyo TX-8050? Seems to be similar to what you recommended and in my price range. Can't really budge because it's a birthday gift for myself from my family
xxmartinxx
You can probably find a used Music Hall integrated amp in that price rage.

deafening
I'll have to check that one out too, then. I stumbled upon the Harman Kardon HK 3390 receiver yesterday. Around $215 from the marketplace. I searched around the boards for input on it, and only found positive posts. Someone else might be able to chime in a little better than I can though. I think that people generally opt for the 3490 over the 3390. May want to read up on some of the reliability issues that these may have. I read quite a few comments indicating that the amp went belly up after 6 months or so.

kannibal
...well?? Oh that already happened. You missed it. All the entry level 80's Sonys have been snatched up and the price has nearly tripled online. Good luck getting your hands on one of those babys!
