Fest 13

Hi.  Three first time festers.  Anyone know anything about the Super 8 or Red Roof Inn?  We know those places aren't going to be super crazy like the Holiday Inn or Paramount Plaza, but we were hoping some people still stay there.  Any advice would be much appreciated!  Also, how crazy is the registration line on Friday?  Any tips/tricks/survival advice would be awesome.  So stinkin excited!!

howard johnson down the street from paramount is nice and pretty inexpensive. i booked it back in february for like $55/night, but it's gone up since i'm sure.

fuckkkkk so bummed I can't go anymore :( someone eat the fuck out of some el indio for me.

two tickets still available. $100 a piece and I'll pay the name change. you're saving $30 if you're late to the game and haven't gotten your tix yet.

Just make the best of being in line.  No matter how long you think you're going to be there, it will be longer.  Have some beers, talk to the people around you.

In terms of actual Fest things, I almost always recommend seeing the smaller band when there's a conflict.

Also, eat pizza. Lots of it. All of it.

yeah, that's what we do. lines are long no matter what time you get there, so it's best to just bs with the people around you. i wish i could just walk in an get my pass.. i hate standing in for more than 3 hours.. it gives me more time to check out stuff at the flea market..

I would think with the bigger venue thats actually being run by Fest people that lines will be slightly better.

Lines for shows hasn't been a significant issue other than Fest 10 from my understanding...

The line for your wristband, however, is a complete fucking joke and will continue to be until they come up with a better system than just walking up to a table of 10 people without any form of organization.
