Although that's the only OOS message that Century Media ever has up, these were never available; unless it was for literally less than 5 minutes. Not only that so many people missed the start of the pre-order due to our miscommunication, but also the demand in the box set (especially in the clear vinyl version) exceeded even our most optimistic expectations.No one recognized the wrong pre-order date when the news was sent out. Still, around 100 very lucky people managed to successfully place their pre-order. It’s like with every limited release: a few are lucky, but the majority are not. We only sold one copy per customer, to avoid crazy Ebay prices. Regardless, the clear vinyl version was sold out in mere minutes.This box is an expensive product. Not only for the you to buy it, but also for us to make. It was a lot of work for the band, the designer and the label, and it took two full years in the making, from signing the agreement until the release of the box. The production costs are high for such a box set, so we have to charge a high price in return. We were of the opinion to rather keep the print run limited than to risk overstocks. No one needs an expensive box set that you can later get for half the price, because someone was far too optimistic. In this particular case, it seems we were perhaps too cautious.There have also been rumours that all versions of the box are sold out by now. This is not true. The CD version was truly “temporarily out of stock” at our European mailorder store. If it’s not available right now, it will be available again very soon. It will also be available through regular distribution (Amazon, regular music stores etc.). The LP box with black vinyl will be available again very soon at our European mailorder store. It will also be available at other online stores like High Roller Records etc. The European store simply sold out of the initial quantities set aside for them in a very short time, and this needs to be physically and internally “restocked” from the initial print run. No additional copies are being pressed, but the moment the Webshop went “out of stock”, everyone assumed it was sold out, which we are happy to say it is not.The Century Media US mailorder will get a good amount of box sets in both formats by mid/late November. Customers will get the chance to order the CD box, the black vinyl LP box as well as the silver vinyl LP box set there, as soon as it gets announced. We do not want to start a pre-order for it now, as no one can ever assure the shipment arrives in one piece or clears Customs in a timely manner. We advise you to keep your eyes open for it.The remaining copies of the silver vinyl version will only be available at CM Distro US!We kindly ask you not to blame the band ULVER for this.
