Cpaskous
Okay, so I managed to score two copies of Thursday's Waiting: one clear and one grey. Does anyone have some clear information on this album? Deadformat and Discogs seem to give conflicting info.Deadformat says that clear and white were the first pressings in 2009, with 500 copies each. The second pressing, an unknown quantity of grey marble, was released in 2010. Discogs says that the grey pressing was released in 1999 with the catalog number EYE120015. Under the decription of the white pressing, it says, "Vinyl reissue of the 1998 album. Pressed on both clear or white vinyl," and has a release date of 2009 and a catalog number EYE120015. The clear pressing has no year and a catalog number of EB015. Both my records have the EYE number. The record label is now defunct, so I don't think I can reach them for some info. If anyone can fill in the gaps, it would be greatly appreciated.
THE_James_Champ
That vinyl reissue of the 1998 album makes no sense, as the album was released in 99. I think the problem there is someone with wrong info. I'm going to correct that. Duff
Cpaskous
The insert for both records says "Eyeball Records, Inc. 1998" at the bottom, which is weird, because according to Wikipedia, the band didn't play their first show until New Years Eve 1998. Huh.
THE_James_Champ
They formed in 97, and it's highly possible that the copyright existed in 98 through eyeball, but the album wasn't actually released until December 99. The first vinyl pressing came in 09, white and clear. The second reissue looks like the grey, in 2010. Duff
Cpaskous
Awesome, thank! So is the EB015 for the original CD pressing then? And EYE120015 for the records?
THE_James_Champ
That part I don't know.

THE_James_Champ
If anyone else has some info, please chime in. I have the clear copy of waiting, but don't know all that much about the actual pressing info either.
fuckinandsuckinandtouchin
I'm almost positive the first pressing is /500 clear and /500 white. Shortly after those were out, I started seeing the grey marble pop up online. If I were to guess, I'd say that grey is probably a second press of /500. dreamover
like it's already been mentioned here, it was first pressed in 2009. 500 on white, 500 on clear. once those went out of print after a year or two, the record started appearing places and were on gray. as far as i know they just appeared from the label, there wasn't a big announcement or preorder or anything. haven't seen official numbers or anything. This is correct. Alex over at Eyeball isn't even sure about that next pressing on gray - just that they pressed some more. Cpaskous
Thanks for the info, everyone! This is probably my favorite Thursday release. Couldn't really get into any of there other albums as much. just got the white in the mail today off an ebay purchase. scored for $20. When I first started collecting, I couldn't find this for less than $100. Now I got two copies for less than half of that. My clear copy doesn't sound that great, but I was pretty happy with my grey copy. The_James_Champ you excited for season three of Twin Peaks? The_James_Champ you excited for season three of Twin Peaks? everybody online (ebay buy nows / amazon / discogs) wants an INSANE amount for it. But the truth is demand for Thursday is not high right now, maybe if No Devotion's album is good it will spark a flame in the Thursday market. When United Nations dropped it did a little bit. But now that the hype has kind of calmed down, prices aren't moving. I was the only person to bid in the auction.
Cpaskous
Yeah, I figured that people just stopped caring, which sucks because this is an amazing album. At least people who actually care can cop it for a decent price haha.
THE_James_Champ
I paid 45 for the clear when I got it from discogs earlier this year. I didn't care, I wanted it. It was the only studio album I was missing on vinyl. Thursday has been a favorite of mine for so very long.
Cpaskous
$45 isn't a bad price, all things considered. I would've have dropped that no problem.
THE_James_Champ
I felt bad about paying that for a single LP at the time, but honestly, it is in MINT condition, so I couldn't pass it up.
Cpaskous
Yeah, my 1st press copy was like ~$20, but the cover isn't in very good condition, and as I mentioned earlier, it doesn't sound great. Desperately needs a cleaning. And depending on the record, I can justify spending a bit. I paid over $80 for the record in my profile pic haha.
